Love that his reaction to being pranked was to pull the exact same prank on his buddy
It's a good prank when the person you pranked immediately wants in on it, and it doesn't cause any harm.
there’s been some discussion where I live about how many adults have abandoned their elderly parents or basically do not care about them enough to visit them and check on them, all the while the news has talked about this topic from the perspective of these adults being selfish, ungrateful, disrespectful, etc. And although I get where they’re coming from, sometimes I can’t help thinking about how maybe some of those elderly people were themselves horrible parents to their children and maybe that’s why their now adult children don’t want to deal with them. I do think we have a elder health problem we have to deal with, but I don’t think assuming that every elderly person was a saint and coming from the perspective that every adult has the individual responsibility to take care of their elderly parents regardless of how they were treated as children (instead of the government stepping in to help) is the best one to have.
I’ve seen this a million times and every time I forget what’s coming
[Video description: A dachshund trots purposely towards a set of steps carrying a small hula hoop in front of it but is stopped by the front end of the hoop hitting the base of the steps. After a few futile attempts, the dog steps into the hoop and picks it up from the front edge, allowing it to bound up the stairs with the hoop. (Its tail is wagging the entire time.) /end description]
last night i dreamt tumblr added like a billion buttons to the mobile app so instead of this

saw a video about a singer who canceled the fireworks show at her concert because she noticed that a stray dog was quietly watching her performance and she didn’t want to scare him away and maybe maybe there’s still hope for humankind
❝ Brazilian singer Taty Girl left her fans speechless during a concert when she made an unexpected decision: she suspended the fireworks show she had planned to protect a homeless dog who was attending the show. While singing, Taty noticed the presence of a dog she named “Caramelo,” who was calmly watching from a distance. Without hesitation, she told her audience: “We will not launch any more fireworks, Caramelo does not like them. Out of respect for him, we will not use them. You can see that he is there quietly, enjoying the show.” Taty’s gesture was applauded by the audience, who not only admired her sensitivity, but also suggested that she adopt the dog. According to reports, the singer listened to the voices of her fans and decided to take Caramelo home, ensuring him a life full of love and care. ❞ Vía 🎥 tt/tatygirloficial

JUST. REMOVE. THE PLATE.
an interesting fact about sparrows is that most of them can fly, and are therefore capable of pursuing a plate even after it has been removed (and after the person whose plate it is has flailed ineffectually at them multiple times, with accompanying shouts of "oi!" and "gerroff!").
another interesting fact about sparrows is they're not very bright. they don't realise that when a piece of food is taken away, that means it's not for them. instead they react with a kind of harried politeness, like, "excuse me, sir, you appear to removed my dinner before i was quite finished. no, not to worry! i'll just hop on over and polish it off here. thanks awfully."
Took a risk and it paid off
This is the face of someone who knows this doesn't always work.
