The dates this year are 6/28 & 6/29! And there's plans for a bunch of pre-main event events! There's fashion shows for each race, I think boats are gonna be a thing somehow for EU if not NA as well, and I know there was a hide-and-seek listed for NA. There's also going to be a small pre-main event walk in the Heart of Thorns maps this year. So there'll be prizes galore, along with the usual raffle drawings that Lelling does for Legendaries and the like.

Main part of this post is to see if anyone would like to volunteer during the walks! You don't need a commander tag—though it helps—and you don't even really need to tag up away from acting as a map taxi. I'm planning on probably NOT tagging this year aside from that. The last few years have been stressful when coupled with streaming the event. I don't really plan on streaming either, I want to be able to enjoy the event as I did the first few years. The EU server is usually pretty flush on volunteers, it's NA that ends up needing the hands—there are sometimes lots of sign-ups but no one appears come showtime.

EU you can reach out to Lelling.6795 and NA Lelling.9052, there's a guild [LGBT] and a discord. You can also send in-game mail across servers, so you might get more luck messaging Lelling on the EU side.

humans are technically legally aliens and their gods are real and you can and should kill them. but also no time for dat goku, the cats are developing fascism

one time an absentee cat father jumped into a portal to the nebulous mindfuck dimension that awaits between the bounds of reality and time and space and whatnot and then he came back like half a year later with inexplicable superpowers and nobody knows how or why this happened. nobody even has a firm grasp on what his superpowers even are. he just has them now. and everyone's just kinda moved on from it. but i haven't moved on. i remember.

don't forget that the cat fathers absentness from his sons life kind of directly lead to said sons rise to by the fascist cat dictators right hand and was instrumental in the rise of the cat fascist party - which was also aided by the Ice and mindfuck dragon and their army of incels

Instead, their main social units are a D&D party sized group of whichever children decided to be friends in the school playground. Honestly bizarre that tomatoes get all the flack for “not being a vegetable” because they're technically a fruit when:

A) There are a ton of fruits that get categorised as vegetables. Like this also applies to pumpkins, squashes and cucumbers.

B) The fucking mushrooms are standing there at the back of the crowd in this witch trial, trying to look inconspicuous because they somehow got into the vegetable club with no fucking controversy despite the fact that they're not even plants.

No lie, one of my biggest fears for upcoming story stuff is that they're going to kill off Isgarren. I think he's been received a /bit/ more warmly than other notoriously hated characters, but I feel the overall view of him is still fairly negative.

And with Mabon being dead, I almost have this horrible feeling in the pit of my gut that they'll be killing him off in sacrifice to stop whatever the fuck is on the other side of that seal to Bava Nisos; finishing Mabon's work for him, and bringing an end to the Seer-Mursaat storyline for good, represented by the only two that ever made peace during the conflict, with the definite extinction of both races (on Tyria at least).

He's been getting a lot of development recently, and while I'm really enjoying it, I'm just paranoid that it's building up to his death sometime soon. Because it's not like Dagda, or even Sorrow, couldn't take up his role in the Wizard's Court and lead the Astral Ward if anything were to happen to him.

Please, please let me keep Isgarren, I am begging you.

Happy Spring, everyone! Though where you are may not be warming up just yet (I know it isn't for me), the end is in sight! And speaking of things happening soon - this Saturday is the first one of a new month, which means it's time for another art party hosted by my guild, Verdant Shield [VS]!

For those not familiar, art parties are a concept carried over from Final Fantasy XIV: in-game get-togethers for artists of all kinds to hang out, chat, and create together! For GW2 parties there’s more of an emphasis on hanging out and gathering references during the party itself, and then in the days/weeks following to work on your creations at your own pace and then post to the shared art party tag. We’ve used the same one (#VSArtParty) since the very beginning so you can go allll the way back and explore what people have made! The most important thing to keep in mind though is this: the ‘goal’ of an art party isn’t to be drawn, but to draw others, and share with the community!

Time and /squadjoin information is below the cut, but will also be posted again on the day of the party as squads go up!
