And suddenly you get teleported to texas

I appreciate how this is very clearly a post for a fandom I’m not in, but is also equally fascinating if not more so as someone who has no idea what’s it about. Yeah, that would be pretty fucked up.

if you wanted to know it's about the mmo guild wars 2

and a particular boss fight called justiciar hablion who in the normal version of his fight, once you get him down to 50% health, will start spawning growing aoes around the arena which if you step on them will teleport you a significant distance straight up, meaning you have to either pull out your glider fast enough to land safely or fall to your death

but at least in that fight you can see the aoes

however one of the game's yearly festivals (going on right now) has a thing called boss blitz, which spawns six boss fights in a segmented arena that the whole map has to fight simultaneously as fast as they can (you get more rewards the quicker you finish off all six), hablion being one of them!

also each boss has a unique special skill that they will use in their fight, but once you kill them, every boss still alive gains access to that skill (and the entire map gets a notification like the one in op's post)

hablion's is mostly the same but it just teleports you randomly, sometimes up in the air, sometimes elsewhere in the arena

and because there's so many people here, it's near impossible to spot the circles underneath you

and then suddenly you have been teleported to texas

I drew this... a long while ago. I remember uploading to my personal blog, but I can't find it anymore so new post it is. When drawing this I tried to stay as close to the vibe of the OG art as I could and also added the canon art on the sheets since I made this to be used as a reference should I need to draw the Hollow Men in the future. Looking at the old SP stuff makes me nostalgic. SP used to have a unique flavour and passion to it that could have made it a cult classic. But now it's just generic and cheap.

I posted this on the Reddit sub a few months ago and some suggested them having a green tinge and honestly, I can see that as it could be a discolourment due to the gasses inside. The green would be most prominent at the seams then. Adding this here as a lil note to my future self.

So, I follow this “bad commercial interior design” Facebook page and-

had an epiphany the other night that picking up and carrying sticks (firewood) was probably one of the most useful dog behaviors we ever bred. and 99% of dogs have it. can you imagine being a cro magnon sitting by the fire and the funny wolves you raised from puppies keep bringing you firewood. it would be incredibly useful, probably only slightly less useful than barking at suspicious activity around your camp. but we never really give them the credit for that one because we aren't much of a wood burning species in most places anymore
