Happy New Year 2025!
I know, I have been more active in the Star Wars fandom these past years, and rather silent for... two years, gosh. I am so sorry, and I hope you are all well out there.
I am so happy to announce that I *finally* managed to come back to my first beloved fanfiction-character, namely Thorin Oakenshield.
Ten years ago (oh dear...), I have undertaken to write his whole life in a series called The King Of Carven Stone.
The original story can be found here, but I reedited it and published the parts separately on A03 (first link above).
The last instalment is called A Thief's Promise and is set in Tharbad, where Thorin falls in love for the first time and goes through his first rift with his shieldbrother Dwalin.
If you are Thorin fans as well, this is for you, and I hope you will enjoy it. It is sooooo good to be back!!

Bagginshield Fanfictions- Time Travel Fix it AU
So.... embarrassingly enough, I couldn't find all of the ones I remembered reading that I really loved. I know I had them bookmarked but they're now gone. Some of these aren't completed, but they are multi-chaptered, (minus one but that one is complete) and are great reads, at least I think so. But anyways, I hope you enjoy the little curated list I have, and if I find more, I will definitely be sure to update it.
Thorin goes back:

Mahal smirked, as though he knew Thorin's desire to contradict him, and pinched his cheek before walking over to a table. "Aye, I didn't think you would believe me. I'm not lying, it certainly could have gone better. More according to my plan, but I know you really did try."
"Your plan?" He didn't know if he should ask, really. Knowing that his Maker had set a course for him, he didn't want to think about the ways he had done everything wrong. There were too many examples of mistakes in his long life, too many opportunities that he had missed that had probably been planned for him from the beginning.

Bilbo goes back in time:

There and Back Again by ExperimentalNotion: On the way to the Undying Lands, Billa Baggins is eaten by a time-traveling sea monster. She wakes up 33 years old with a chance to change everything. Unfortunately, Thorin has a tendency to run around shirtless and Dis thinks she has improper designs on Fili and Kili, but if she can convince the Shire that Dwalin is a dance teacher, things might be okay. Fem!Bilbo/Thorin. UPDATED

For years Bilbo has written about his adventures and told stories about his dealings with dwarves and dragons. To most it seemed like fanciful nonsense but to Bilbo it was all very real. A weight followed him home from his travels, one called regret. Now in his final moments Bilbo has a choice to make – go quietly into death’s embrace or go back again and face all the fear and pain for the chance to make things right?
Of course, change is a fickle thing and not everything can be done again as Bilbo is about to find out. In the end, it may not only be salvation that he’s fighting for.

Hindsight of the Blind by cole-lit: Bilbo Baggins should have known something was amiss about his Dwarves. But it was only at Trollshaw when he claimed that he needed to pass water where secrets came to light. (Or where the whole Company goes on the Quest to Erebor once more, talks a lot and debates on how to deal with the greater threat.)
