Aaron knew your eyesight was bad. He just didn’t realize it was this bad.

"Babe, why you squinting like that?"

You were peering hard at the TV, head tilted, eyes damn near closed.

“Because I can’t see?" you answered, like it was obvious.

Aaron blinked. "Where your glasses?"

You waved him off. "I don’t need ‘em."

Aaron turned fully to you. "…You don’t need ‘em?"

"Nope."

Aaron’s stare was so blank.

Then he grabbed his phone, held up his hand, and spread his fingers. "How many fingers am I holding up?"

You squinted again. "…Three?"

Aaron’s lips parted.

He was holding up five.

"Babe."

You crossed your arms. "I was close."

"You were not."

"Okay, but I got one of the hands right, so technically—"

Aaron exhaled sharply.

Then he stood up.

"Where you going?"

"To get your glasses."

You grabbed his arm. "Nooo."

"Yes."

"Nooo I look better without them!!"

"BABE."

You latched onto him, refusing to let go, but Aaron was strong as hell so he just dragged you with him.

He got to your bag, pulled out your glasses, and held them up.

"Put. Them. On."

You pouted. "I don’t need—"

Aaron slid them right onto your face.

Your entire world got clearer.

"Whoa."

Aaron just stared at you.

"You can see now, huh?"

"Wait, hold on, everything looks so—" You turned to him. Paused. "Oh my God. Is that what you look like?"

Aaron scoffed. "What that mean?!"

You grinned. "You’re even finer than I thought."

Aaron folded his arms, narrowing his eyes. "You tryna distract me so I don’t get on you about not wearing your glasses?"

"Is it working?"

Aaron sighed, grabbed your face, and kissed your forehead.

"Yes."
