I am opening commissions!

Here are some examples with ballpark price ranges for each:

Eclipse Light is a demo I made recently as a synth tribute to the 2024 total eclipse. Something like this would cost around $120 USD.

Path to the Sky is a really fun chiptune-style piece I made for a game jam a while back. Something like this would cost around $80 USD (because it loops around the 1 minute mark).

Okay A Lot Of Funny Business Actually is a fun jazzy track I wrote for a game jam. Something like this would cost around $150 USD.

Kashei's Palace is a royally goofy piece I made for an old TTRPG campaign I was in, representing a frequent setting and NPC. Something like this would cost about $65 (because it loops after the 45 second mark).

Inordina Woods is a piece I made as a school project a while back. Something like this would cost around $120 because live-recording an instrument like the guitar here will add to the price.

If you like any of these pieces and want one of your own, feel free to reach out to me here via DM or via email! I'll give you more details on pricing, revisions, etc there.

Not having a traditional job or plans to get an education will have people asking you things like so what is the purpose of you staying alive?

my mom is obsessed with figuring out how many pounds i lost bc of the surgery but sorry mom you're never gonna know. no one is ever gonna know. i don't even know. fuck ya life bing bong

"Stuck in the timeloop as a punishment" is cool and all, but stuck in the timeloop voluntarily though? Oh, brother. Stuck in the timeloop cause you just can't move on. Stuck in the timeloop even if you know that it's not real and whatever should've happen already did. Stuck in the timeloop even if doesn't makes you happy. You just can't bear the thought of not being able to see them ever again. Stuck in the timeloop even if you know you should move on. Stuck in the timeloop even if you know they would want you to move on.

But maybe just a little while longer.

"what if someone's faking-" WHO CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAREEEEEEEEEEEEEES LITERALLY WHO EVEN CAAAAAAAAAAAARES OH MY FUCKING GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD DUDE WHO EVEN CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO GIVES A FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

god i never told you guys but a couple weeks ago at work i heard a guy say, and i closely paraphrase, "So I was out with my partner--republicans hate it when i say that. My heterosexual partner Jessica--" and i was straight up crying before he finished his sentence. fully diegetic convergent linguistic evolution live in the workplace

"thats her name heteroooo jessica thats her name folks thats what we call her hertero jessica"

New substack piece about what's happening in the UK

We see the news at about 10.30 and sit in horrified silence for several minutes. Everything I have detailed above - the implications of this news -is immediately clear to both of us, as it likely is to every trans woman in the country as they receive the headlines accompanied by pictures of beaming, grinning transphobes celebrating making our lives worse.

My girlfriend and I go to the local cafe to get out of the house. The owner, who I've known for most of a decade, asks how we're doing and when I tell her the news she is completely at a loss for words. She tells us it will change back again eventually, which makes me think of Section 28. She tells us that her cafe is a safe space, which I've never doubted.

I call with my brother. I don't think he likes to hear me getting angry, which makes it hard sometimes to explain the things they are doing to people like me. I want to tell him that a woman in Colombia was raped and then her arms and legs were broken and she was thrown into the river where passersby watched her drown and didn't help. We talk about America instead, about Hunter Schafer's passport being changed, about other women having their passports seized, about people I know who have loved ones in America can't travel to see them because they could get refused entry, interviewed by ICE, or even detained. I tell him a woman in Florida has been arrested for using the women's bathroom and is being sent to a men's prison. I want to tell him about V-coding, the practice by which prison wardens assign trans women to violent and aggressive male prisoners in a sort of forced marriage to pacify the male prisoner at the cost of the woman being repeatedly beaten and raped, sometimes to death. It won't help the situation to overwhelm my brother with the horrors. He's already asking what he can do. I say he can write to his MP and he can donate to the Good Law Project.

I have no idea how to feel.

Anime I'm Watching Spring 2025

listed from least likely to drop -> most likely to drop. I'm being pretty picky this season so I've already dropped a lot of shows that I'm not mentioning

  • Shin Samurai-den Yaiba: this show is just immediately bewitching. looks gorgeous, fights are really dynamic and engaging, & has made me laugh a few times. im not nostalgic for the old-school style it's honoring, but that doesn't matter in the slightest. really high hopes for this one
  • Mono: the first episode charmed me SO MUCH. the characters are all really fun to watch and their dynamics are instantly compelling. really funny jokes. and everything about this show is so cute it makes me want to bite my own head off
  • Shoushimin Series S2: more shoushimin series :) i just really love the way this show is directed. excited to see what osanai will set fire to next
  • Apocalypse Hotel: story has intrigued me so far. i really loved that intro sequence in the first episode, and the characters seem like they fit well together. looking forward to seeing where the story goes next
  • Rock is a Lady's Modesty: the premise is just so fun. and i really appreciated the attention to detail in regards to the instrumental performances. still needs a little ways to go before im fully invested in these characters, but im definitely along for the ride so far
  • Wind Breaker S2: i watched all of season 1 and it was!... alright...!! the main thing i enjoyed about it was the dynamic fight animation and sound direction, and those things remain really high quality with this season. i still dont really care all that much about the characters but i have found myself slightly more engrossed in the fights in the 2 new episodes ive watched, so maybe im warming up to them? idk. on my knees begging and pleading for more content about that girl with red hair. i cheer every time i see her in the OP
  • Lazarus: i can't seem to reliably find the subbed version for this? im assuming adult swim shenanigans. i was like 'whatever' and watched the first episode eng dubbed all the way through, but then in the end credits i saw that the lead JP VA was Mamoru Miyano and i got pissed. potentially interesting story but if finding the sub is annoying enough i'm kicking it to the curb

oh yeah im watching Sentai Daishikkaku season 2 as well

:) :) :) :)

Just to be clear with regard to the previous reblog: this is not a hypothetical or a threat-of-the-week, it's what just happened.

UK Supreme Court has effectively declared the wording of the Gender Recognition Act 2004 overruled by the wording of the Equality Act 2010, despite the fact that the Equality Act was written with the understanding that the Gender Recognition Act officially changed one's legal gender for all and any remaining purposes, including those pertaining to biological sex, which it defines broadly as including those having undergone transition, but it clearly includes us, so that was taken care of at the time, and is now being undone.

Note also that this legal ruling only affects trans women.

See also:

The court has been criticised after it refused to allow trans women to take part in the hearings, although it did allow the civil rights group Amnesty UK to participate on the Scottish government’s side.
Victoria McCloud, a retired judge who changed her legal sex more than 20 years ago, was refused permission to be heard in the case. She said that meant “the only affected group was excluded”.

[ID: BlueSky post by Jess O'Thomson: "The UK Supreme Court has unanimously decided that the definition of sex under the Equality Act 2010 refers solely to biological sex, and does not include people with a Gender Recognition Certificate." Dated April 16, 2025. /End ID]

Last thing I’m gonna say on the matter is that as the societal policing of fat bodies intensifies both on tumblr and otherwise and as ozempic usage and diet culture continues to wipe away the performative faux body positivity companies previously exhibited when pretending to support ‘plus size’ people was still trendy, it is now more important than ever for leftists to give a shit about fat liberation. The diet industry wants to sell us starvation on a silver platter as if bodily conformity alone can nourish us. You can’t topple capitalism without toppling the diet industry and the fatphobia it’s shilled to us in the process. :)

above all else a trans woman is a person. above all else a trans women is a woman who goes to the same grocery store as you and buys fruits in the same grocery cart as you and goes home and eats her dinner the same as you. above all else a trans woman is a woman who dresses like you do and talks the same way you do. above all else a trans woman is a woman who wants to be cared about the same way you want to be cared about and a trans woman is a woman who makes friends the same way you make friends. above all else you should care about trans women because they are people. treat her as such.

btw since this is getting notes i want to remind everyone that the way to treat trans people, especially trans women and transfeminine people, is to embrace them as your equals. you cannot help people by separating them from yourself. the way to treat trans women is not to say "i just can't be normal about them, they're all so attractive!". don't do that. don't measure trans women by their attractiveness. don't stereotype them. just recognize them as your neighbors. trans women are people who work at convenience stores and do their laundry at the laundromat and brighten up when they wear clothes they like and sing along to the music they love.

above everything else they are just normal people and you need to remember that. you need to fight for them and listen to them and appreciate them for who they are because they are people. and they deserve to have wonderful average lives just the same as you. ok
