Maybe being good at social media should not be the main qualifier for all creative work
Seeing the notes on this talk about all the other careers that I hadn't even considered being affected by this is just depressing. What do you mean you need to be Instagram famous to have a career as a hairdresser?
When a fic doesnβt fit my head canons but itβs well-written
?????? rich people are losing it
to be clear, yes i would also do some of this if i had the money. im experiencing blinding envy over the dr pepper mirror dimension.
This is Justin Flom (magician/creator) and Anna Rothfuss's "Trap Door Art House!" Upworthy had an article after this video went viral, but you can see more on TikTok (@/justinflom) and YouTube (@/justinflom).
voice acting as a profession is so funny because you'll see someone being like "voice actors need to be paid better! like [obscure person you've never heard of]" and you're like "oh I wonder who that person is, maybe I've heard them voice a character" and you look it up and it turns out they voice 137 characters in Futurama and 94 characters in The Simpsons and 96 characters in Adventure Time and every one of the My Little Ponies and 27 characters in Arcane and 96 characters in Kim Possible and 4 characters in Phineas and Ferb and 296 characters in Dexter's Laboratory and all of the main cast of Fairly Odd Parents and at least 6 characters in every Pixar movie and almost every animated depiction of Superman and 473 SpongeBob characters and they've been in every installment of Mass Effect and Halo and The Elder Scrolls and Fallout and Call of Duty and they were in Star Trek and Law & Order and they were 12 characters in the MCU and they also invented t-shirts and the colour green and they got paid a sum total of $3.27 and a mothball for all of it combined. then you go burn down David Zaslav's house with him inside
Hi! This is a rickroll. Please visit youtube dot com, type "never gonna give you up" in the search bar, then click on the first video that comes up. Thank you for your consideration.
I donβt mean to be old but computer used to just have games. U didnt have to pay for em either but if u wanted u could get a little CD that put the game onto the computer and you could play it forever and ever even if the company that made it went to hell and shit. You didnβt even need the internet or wifi or anything. And it was pretty neat
It would be a finished game, too. If you played long enough and did really good you could go to all the places and get all the stuff. You never had to pay more money later it was just there. onn compter
university professors love to create the most fucked up pdf ever known to mankind. it's enrichment for them.
what HAPPENED here
it really is crazy how quickly people were willing to just let chatgpt do everything for them. i have never even tried it. brother i don't even know if it's just a website you go to or what. i do not know where chatgpt actually lives, because i can decide my own grocery list.
this trans day of visibility, i want to highlight and celebrate intersex trans people.
society ignores intersex trans people and tries to erase this overlap. and also ignores complex intersex experiences around gender. society denies our intersexuality, or our transness, or both. even in queer circles we are often seen as "basically cis" or "basically trans" or "intersex aka own separate species that can have nothing in common with other queer people."
intersex trans people are often denied gender affirming care. intersex trans people get their bodily autonomy attacked both as intersex and trans. even in trans accepting circles like gender clinics, we often face ignorance and incompetence.
people feel entitled to know and question our anatomy, physiology, transition goals, identities β everything about us.
our bodies belong to us. our identities belong to us. our experiences belong to us.
we deserve bodily autonomy. we deserve representation. we deserve recognition. we deserve celebration. we deserve pride.
intersex trans people, i love you.

"I'm in my late 20s and I'm scared I've already peaked" just don't peak then, idiot. what do you mean like you're going to just stop trying to think harder and build taller and learn more and get luckier and read deeper and dress better and fuck weirder and run faster and draw crazier and smoke danker and dance bigger and steal better and stun everyone with your cunty charm and zeal because, what, you think those are the rules? get real. get up. you have another 50 years and you're not going to use them??? give them to me.
i think what bothers me about a lot of "girl power" narratives is that they function on the implicit idea on the idea that women can become worthy of respect. and i happen to think that really caring about women means believing they already are worthy of respect. that historical seamstresses and soccer moms and forgotten sisters and sweet polite little girls and someone's weird grandma matter just as much as the warriors and politicians, even if they, personally, never accomplish anything "cool."
Jeanne Villepreux-Power, the inventor of the clear glass fish tank was a dressmaker before she married and had the free time and energy to devote to her passion for marine biology. But not just any dressmaker β a really good dressmaker. Being a dressmaker was different from being a seamstress; it was like the difference between owning a couture house and being a stitcher for one. You had to start out as a seamstress, but by the time you hit dressmaker, you had reached the top of the occupational ladder οΏΌ
She literally designed a wedding dress for a princess at one point
And yet articles about her always phrase it like "from being JUST a MERE SEAMSTRESS she ascended to the REAL WORK OF SCIENCE!!!"
Finding out that World Athletics pays $100k every time a new world record is set so so Mondo Duplantis has just been setting it 1cm at a time from 6.17m to 6.25m in the past 4 years is so funny??? Finessing 1 million dollars 1 cm at a time even though he can clearly go higher at one shot???? #respect
Financial scam cause how has he gone and done it a month after doing it
If he has that kind of precision he deserves to be able to do this
