Weds 16th April

On our way home. The rain was forecast to be heavy all day so we noped out of a big walk and just drove to the nearest town instead and had a little walk in the woods then got chips and cake to eat in the car before setting off.

Just stopped off at the shop for some stuff to make chilli tonight. Matt is doing the honours and I'm staying in the car with Mags, dying with cramps bc it turns out the reason I was in so much pain yesterday was bc my period was starting which I was totally unprepared for 🫠 at least I have time for a nap this afternoon after we unpack.

Tuesday 15th April

Less rain today thank god! Still v wet and misty up thee mountains but dry and warm (ish) once we got back down so we managed to dry off a bit before heading back to the car. We went up Skiddaw and Little Man and it was hard af but we did enjoy it, the paths were a lot better than yesterday too. Even if some parts were just about vertical. I just wish we had been able to see literally anything 😂

We came back to the hobbit hole and had showers, naps, pizza and board games ❤️

It has been mostly a good day even if I did have pretty gnarly period pains while hiking 🤢

Monday 14th April

It ain't called the Lake District because it's dry 🫠 having to keep to shorter walks bc of the weather but we did manage 3 hills today - Calfhow Pike, Clough Head & Great Dodd. Took us just about 4 hours and we were drenched and just starting to get cold and miserable by the time we got back to the car. But our little Hobbit Hole is adorable and warm to come home to!

Do i finally call in sick after a week of working while sick or do i suck it up for one more day to avoid having to do a sickness interview..
