ANYWHO
W- Wouldn’t be the first time, as some people did have an affinity for watching unassuming females. Even as she finally turned into the hallway on the end of which was the stairway leading down towards her quarters, she considered sprinting, in case there was a spirit about to nab her. But before she could make good on that thought, a fae emerged from the stairway, and Y/n’s voice died down, the only sound now the echoes of the song. (Creep- Azriel x Maid!reader, posting on april 4th, 8pm gst)
I- "I wanted to play alone." Y/n huffed, rolling her eyes. "I’m Y/n. What’s your name?" He stared at her extended hand for a moment, then took it. "Azriel." "Can I play with you?" "Why?" She pouted. "Cassian threw a big ball at me and I am mad at him." (Azriel x reader, unnamed😛, a request <3)
N- "No." Y/n raised a brow. "No?" The girl rolled her eyes. "I have to go play mama!" As the shadow of her mate fell over her, Y/n looked up, shooting him an exasperated look. He only grinned, looking down at the toddler, shaking his head. (from a fic series named, for now, 'Wings'. prone to change- Azriel x reader)
G- "Go, give this back to him." Olga mumbled, offering her the hilt. Y/n pouted, widening her eyes in hopes it would placate the female in front of her. Alas, there was barely anything that would distract Olga from work. (again from the fic creep lols)
S- She cocked her head. "What do you think it means?" Longing and guilt took root in Azriel as he shifted from foot to foot, his mothers soft, gentle voice playing through his head like the sound of an innocent child's laughter, hiding behind dark crevices and shadowy alcoves as they played hide and seek. "I… I think it is what my mother had." (once more from the unnamed fic lmao)
doing this, i realised that despite having a looooooot of wips i wanna work on, ive only got like 4 fics actually written down 🥲

Oh, okay. I see. You think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select out, oh I don’t know, that gaslight gatekeep girlboss meme, for instance, because you’re trying to tell the world that you think modern feminism has been co-opted by corporations. But what you don’t know is that that meme is not from Instagram, it's not from Twitter, it's not from Tiktok, it’s actually from Tumblr. You’re also blithely unaware of the fact that in January 2021, Tumblr user missnumber1111 posted, "today's agenda: gaslight gatekeep and most importantly girlboss." And then I think it was a-m-e-t-h-y-s-t-r-o-s-e, wasn’t it, who reblogged it with an image of the phrase edited over a piece of "Live, Laugh, Love" wall art? And then gaslight gatekeep girlboss showed up in the feeds of eight different Twitter repost accounts. Then it filtered down through Instagram and then trickled on down into some tragic “alt side of Tiktok” where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that meme represents millions of notes and countless Tumblr users and so it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from Tumblr when, in fact, you’re wearing the meme that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of “stuff.”

It was Azriel, the Night Court’s spymaster, standing before you, his piercing hazel eyes locking onto yours.
Time stood still for a moment, the air between you growing thick as you stared at each other. Even your heart felt as though it stopped beating. But then you blinked, and found a surprising softness to Azriel’s eyes.
There was no judgement, no disgust. Only concern.
A shadow slithered between you both, quietly offering you a cloth. You swallowed, mortification clawing at your throat. “I—"

Cerridwen and Nuala, the most trusted of all the shadow spies at Azriel's command. I imagine them made of shifting shadow and smoke, their movements like water and poetry. They are the only ones trusted so absolutely that they protect the home that they hold so sacred and those within it. They alone live with the family as part of them. I imagine they are the most capable of the shadow folk as well. I hope we get to know more about them! I love that they have formed a close bond with Elain!

Fan art of how I envision Amren from ACOTAR. As much as my brain was shouting "Draw Edna Mode!!!" lolol Her ear piece is suggestive of her other worldly form, with plenty of other jewels and precious metals adorning her. Her clothes are loose, comfortable while others imagine her eyes more humanoid, I never took them that way. I imagined them as solid, shifting pools of silver metal just like the book suggests.
