Please take a moment to read my story.
I am Heba Al-Dahdouh. I currently live in the completely destroyed city of Gaza. Since the war on Gaza began on 7/1/2024, my family—my father Nasif, my mother Asmaa, and my siblings Khaled, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Malak—have been living in constant fear, crying, and suffering due to shrapnel, shells, and bullets.
We have no food, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools, no homes, no cleaning supplies, and no clothes. Our house was completely destroyed. My school has been bombed, and my brother Khaled's university is now rubble, depriving us all of education. The war has forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents unsuitable for living, especially in winter.
Every day we live death, terror, and panic a thousand times because of the ongoing bombardment of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the start of the war, we sought refuge at my aunt's house, but it too became rubble. Imagine: we have survived imminent death more than 20 times and have been displaced among shelters more than 13 times. My siblings and I have suffered from many illnesses due to malnutrition, and we need medication continuously.
If we stay in Gaza, we might lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza for a safe place. However, travel costs are extremely high. We need over $50,000 to leave Gaza. Due to exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, lack of security, the ongoing siege, and relentless bombardment, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity, with constant shelling and shrapnel flying above us? Dear compassionate friends around the world,

Diluc has been too happy on my page recently (aka not being tortured). Have to change that.
I am soooo in love with the idea that the brothers have similar scars/injuries but kaeyas are caused by external circumstances/his brother and dilucs are a direct result of his own actions/inability to communicate properly👍👍
Anyway…..here is a sequel to my post about prosthetics and such… I have another post as well that kinda details how diluc obtained these modifications (dottore got his ass😭) but I digress.
I am aware that my handwriting is NOT good…lmk if you need a translation lmao
I will stress this again these are NOT!!!!! Hyper futuristic implants they are experimental replacements that were intended to make him a weapon (not a super accurate way to describe it but whatever) aka very clunky uncomfortable bulky all the words🙏
The gist of it is that his body is rejecting them (they are NOT supposed to do that yet) and he’s like oh shit that’s bad so he has to mosey on back to snezhnaya for answers and BOOM story

How protective is Diluc to Kaeya? What is their relationship like?
Did you change anything about their backstory?
They are very similar to cannon, even their backstory(mainly because it is so vague) however there is a few differences
- Their relationship is a bit worse (more complicated is a better way to describe it) than it currently is in cannon.
- Diluc is A LOT more secretive regarding his “trip” and he lies a lot about it. (The parallels between him and his brother are very strong because I hate them😁😁😁)
- Kaeya knows a LOT more about Dilucs mother than diluc does but he’s kinda withholding that information because of their rocky relationship and also because he doesn’t know how much his brother knows
- Diluc knows a lot about kaeyas birthmom and doesn’t really say anything for the same reason
For the most part though, it’s just me fleshing out their story. Not a whole lot is presented directly so there isn’t much to change. Here’s a few points that i think I should mention
- Diluc lied about “traveling the world”. He went straight to snezhnaya
- During his second year. He was taken (by force) by the doctor to one of his many labs to be fitted with experimental prosthetics. (Aka dottore being dottore)
- This was not intended to be torture or interrogation because dottore doesn’t really gaf about that. He thought diluc was an interesting subject and wanted to see if his body would reject the implants.
- The rest of the fatui harbingers DID NOT know about this. (Except for one) Dottore kept it a secret because they had previously told him that they were cutting his funding but more importantly because dottore wanted a personal trump card should he ever have to face another harbinger. (Basically he has his suspicions about some of his colleagues. He thinks they might actually oppose the tsaritsa)
- His experiments only work halfway. If the prosthetics aren’t rejected then they don’t serve their original purpose correctly. Eventually Diluc manages to escape thanks to a third party and fucks off to terrorize the Fatui for another year.
- This is mostly where it connects back with cannon. The harbingers eventually lock in and find diluc, he’s saved by a different third party and he says hell nah I’m going back home
- I wish I could think of something interesting for kaeya other than him prying information about dilucs mother from Alice but I think that clutters the story. Kaeya just waiting and making his moves in silence adds a really interesting piece of tension that really grows between him and his brother as he slowly figures out wtf happened while diluc was gone and also about both of their parents.
There’s more but I want to make comics about it so it’s kinda short n simple here.

Crepus could feel the soft gentle traces a tiny palm rubbed over his hand, as Kaeya’s tiny fingers explored his own. They swirled around the freckles and occasional scar, as though to study them and commit all to memory.
Every now and again, the boy would pause and the cloth of the pillow would rustle as he glanced up at his father whose arms were wrapped protectively wrapped around him. As though to make sure his careful movements weren’t disturbing the other in a much more considerable fashion than his eldest probably would have executed.
Knowing diluc, he probably would have started an impromptu wrestling match, causing Crepus to wake up in a small choke hold first thing in the morning.
As it were, crepus kept his eyes closed and his breathing deep and even. Not quite ready to acknowledge he wasn’t actually asleep. Giving Kaeya the opportunity to relax and rest after a long night of nightmares.
They were the reason the child had wound up by Crepus’ side in the middle of the night. It wasn’t uncommon for Kaeya to end up in either his room or Diluc’s. However, last night had been the first time Kaeya had sought Crepus out for comfort rather than Crepus finding the boy hyperventilating in his own bed or Diluc dragging Kaeya to him.
Kaeya sighed softly as he gently pressed his palm flat against Crepus’. The tiny thing soft and cool. The boy relaxed further into his side. Burrowing there like a tiny kitten into its mother’s embrace.
Only to startle a second later when the sound of tiny bare feet slapping against the wood floor was the only warning either of them got before the other member of their little family launched himself onto the bed and Crepus’s side like a tiny cannon ball.
“Good morning!” Diluc slid over Crepus’ arm. Reaching down to pat his brother’s head.
Crepus creaked an eye open. Watching his two boys.

Hii sorry this took so long to respond to. I don’t know a lot about Slavic culture so I was afraid I would get something wrong… I still got something wrong and by the time I realized (I simplified a lot because I was tired and it’s 2:00 AM now) the damage was already done. 😓 I’ll do better next time.
But anyway I only did some surface level research so I could figure out what the abyss was going on and now I have to share my notes with the class.
Also I love your Diluc design and lore it has so much love and soul in it he is the guy ever sjdjdjjxkdk you are so cool.
