I- I WASNT SAYING WE SHOULD MAKE IT WORSE!!!
This fandom is joever once Raon Miru hears about this fic idea... no, once any of them hear...
Well my fate is sealed just as the rest of this fandom so I might as well get in on the fun. Cale unintentionally hides his condition after he gets poisoned. They give him the antidote and it works but he keeps getting paler, more frail, and his rate of coughing blood is less frequent but he looks like he's in pain more often too. He gets fevers as if he's sick but the doctors all say that he's actually fine. Only the Sun God Saint's healing power appears to help. They can't tell that his organs have begun to fail.
Cale doesn't tell them that the poison messed with his healing AP because- well, that's a him problem, isn't it? He'll figure out how to fix it. It'll only worry them.
But then one day he stands up with a loud ringing in his ears, looks at Raon, and realizes that Raon's been speaking to him since he woke up and Cale couldn't hear him. Sound the alarms. Everyone of importance hears about this, except the Count, of course. It's difficult for Cale to cope, because he has to sit back and pretend that becoming deaf isn't a threat to his slacker life. Raon keeps crying and talking to him even though he's become deaf and, to escape the never ending silence, Cale overlays a Record of Raon rambling to him about the chirping of crickets. He's relieved that he'll never have to forget the sounds of his friend's and family's voices.
In the midst of this he finds himself concerned about what happened to the crybaby, who has gone silent. He can still hear the AP's in his head.
Cale goes blind and yet he continues to be able to walk around just fine due to his Records. The layout of the house is still in him, so it's fine. Except now he can't see or hear the shattered expressions or broken cries of his friends and family. He does his best to comfort them when he can, especially the children, but he's busy giving one-sided tasks to everyone so that they might be able to reverse the effects or at the very least, stop them from getting worse. When he isn't doing that, he's speaking with the AP's, or listening and watching Records, or more comforting the children. They can barely communicate with him that he needs to rest by drawing letters on his hand. He sleeps a lot after he finally lays down. It becomes difficult to tell when he's asleep or awake, for him and the others. Ron, who can tell, can't tease the young master for laying there with his eyes closed anymore.
I think it deserves a happy ending so Cale falls into a coma and wakes up in the God of Death's office and they make a deal. GoD will fix his ancient power and Cale will sacrifice half of his extended lifespan. Since the crybaby was supposed to help him live til 150, he sacrifices 25 years. Cale doesn't have to worry about being able to recover since the crybaby AP will always heal his body up to the condition he had been in when he first got it.
Once the vitality of the heart is fixed, though it's terrifying for everyone involved, Cale coughs up a lot of black and red blood. He takes a few days to get his sight back, then his hearing, and he returns to normal in a few weeks. Let's just say that everyone is extremely protective of him after that, and also very very traumatized.
