Listen guys (gn)! We need to proudly yap about our creativity more. Of course it's great, when awesome kind souls mention us in a rec-list or reblog our blurbs and blobs. But, let's be real, to most of us, more likely will happen... right... NOTHING! So that's what we do from now on, every damn Maker-given Saturday:

First, and I'm really proud of it, I FINALLY set my website up! I'm coming back from a very numb period of my life so I don't have much to show yet, but I'm happy I managed to make this and have the proper place to show my stuff and make it easier for people to contact me for work!

Second and another new project, I started setting up a youtube channel to make art content, because I love it and I don't have close friends/a community to share my interests so I'm making my own. There's nothing in it but it exists now and I'm happy about it. (posting it here in case anyone wants a head start XD).

As for art I haven't drawn much this week because I was tablet-less DFISOADOSIAKDSAKOIDA my drawing tablet came in a few days ago so I'm just getting used to it. I did draw this from the Spots to Kiss prompt list (that I would also love it if you guys sent more because this was so fun, I have one more in the works but it's a wip XD).

Okay, so ancient powers can be passed down

That's how Bud Illis got his wind attribute AP.

It's been in his family for generations, he probably got it from his grandfather since he was also the one to teach Bud swordfighting but it could also be from a different family member

Wouldn't that mean that Bud would have needed to choose a successor if Cale didn't purify Wind Island-

Bud is not only a mercenary but the Mercenary King. The jobs he takes are not without risks, he could very easily lose his life one day from another.

He is aware of this.

Question is, what was his plan if Cale never came and he died (of old age or otherwise-)? Who would the wind attribute AP go to? Does he have siblings or family it could be passed onto?

Can he choose who to give it to? The next Mercenary King? Or his friend, Glenn...

It would likely need to stay in his family or WS wouldn't have struggled getting this AP that much (probably).

It's just slightly weird for Bud not to have a backup plan in case something were to happen. He probably did have something in mind and we're just not told... or perhaps he didn't.

Anyway, it's not like it matters now. Wind Island is purified, ancient artifact taken by Cale- there isn't really a need for 'guardians' of the place so would there be a need to pass on the AP to someone else?

At least Bud got rid of that extra duty and can do whatever he was up to before but it would still be interesting to know where his AP would go now. Would he be able to choose it? Would he want to?

Did he ever pick a successor for either the guardian duty or to be the next Mercenary King-

Idk, kinda makes me wonder tho

On a side note,

even though we know of Bud's dad he clearly didn't get the AP so they probably skipped a generation or something 🤔

Brainstorming ideas for some fluff oneshots and realized Cale's kids canonically have potty mouths. After getting flamed by Eruhaben for so long and giving Lord Sherritt a heart attack the first time Raon drops an f-bomb in front of her, Cale just dumps them on Violan and leaves them to their fates thinking he's smart.

Unbeknownst to him, Violan has even more of a dirty mouth given her time as a merchant. The woman can curse like a sailor with creative insults that leave grown men scratching their heads.

(Personal headcanon that that's why Deruth fell for her.)

She helps them come up for insults for the White Thing. Suddenly, On's shooting Nigerian mom level snipes at the White Star mid-battle like:
