I love tumblr, I really do. I basically grew up here, found myself here, made friends here, met the love of my life here. but my passion isn't here anymore.

it's time for me to move on towards brighter horizons.

I do sincerely thank every single one of you for the life changing experience this has been. I wouldn't be me without tumblr and all of you wonderful people.

this blog is going to stay here and I may or may not post things every now and then but mostly this blog will be dormant.

tumblr was my everything for the longest time, I started my first blog when I was 14. but I'm all grown up now. I can't stay.

I want you all to know that this is heartbreak for me, even now I'm crying writing this because I legitimately feel like I'm leaving my childhood home and all the memories behind.

I think the problem is that nothing happened. After retiring from doing discourse I feel that my blog just became meaningless.

At some point I tried to use my platform to promote my art but we all know that an art career on tumblr is nearly impossible.

running this blog hasn't felt worth it for a long time, although that doesn't mean I regret anything. I appreciate everything that I experienced and learned from tumblr but it's just my time to go. I'm not useful here anymore.

if you have Norton Antivirus or Norton VPN, delete the software ASAP.

Norton is automatically installing and running a cryptocurrency mining program in the backgrounds of their users. There is no text box asking to confirm the use of this program and is installed automatically, it runs during โ€œdowntimeโ€ on your computer . While the official announcement said that this program was exclusive to the US, international users are reporting it as well. We donโ€™t know the exact scope yet.

To delete this program, must go into the files (Program Files/Norton) and delete the file NCrypt.exe. It will ask for the admin permission. (Some report having admin permissions on their computer but being unable to delete the program.) If the software is already downloaded to your computer, I would NOT recommend continuing to use Norton, as there is no guarantee that the .exe file wonโ€™t return in another update.

Tell your friends and family, reblog, spread this, please. Itโ€™s barely been getting any attention, and I worry that Norton is setting a precedent that other companies will repeat. However, if a large (or very vocal) part of the userbase continues to complain, it may make Norton or other companies think twice before mining crypto on your computer.

Confirmed on Norton's website 1/4/22.

This was trialed in their early access program in June of last year, and is now included with all subscriptions.

Don't want to mine cryptocurrency? You should use a different antivirus.

Windows Defender is actually pretty good last I checked.

Windows defender can hog resources but is genuinely so good these days I haven't had a noticeable virus or malware in years, not a one

I guess we can't name our kids Winter or Snow because people have died from hypothermia, and the name Hunter is also banned because people have died from guns :(((

hm. just gonna put my two cents in but while the new influx of fnaf fans is definitely a good thing and very fun, but a lot of the "theories" and headcanons are just.... not good and extremely strange.

there's a popular "headcanon" going around that William Afton and/or the Sun/Moon animatronic are paedophiles ...........
