If you don't think that fanfic writers get attached to their commenters and repeat commenters... you're crazy.
There's people who comment on my stories, disappear for months at a time, then comment when they catch up and I almost always remember their tagnames. It means the WORLD to me as a writer to have people who comment both regularly and irregularly on my stories/oneshots/moodboards.
When you guys go away for a few weeks or months... we notice! We hope you're okay and just taking a break, and when you come back rested and excited to read more stories, we're so happy to have you back.
So yes, please comment on stories even if it's once in a blue moon. You're not annoying, you're not overbearing for multiple comments or being super excited. You're helping fuel a writer to keep writing just to see what you have to say next about the next chapter! You're doing the Lord's work with your comments!
Whether you leave a Russian novel in a comment, or just go "noice", like... it makes the writer brain go !!!!!!💞
Genuinely my regular commenters make my entire fucking day.
My husband knows your names. I always send him screenshots of the beautiful, wonderful comments my readers leave. He recognizes when it’s a new username, or when it’s someone that I haven’t mentioned in a while.

or “insertname is always one of the first to comment after you post”
or “I remember when insertname binge read and commented on like ten chapters overnight”
It took one singular sweet comment on a fic to motivate me to finish editing the next chapter after several weeks of not posting.
I fucking love all of the beautiful souls who have stumbled across my work and spent hours of their lives reading words that I have written. The thought of you guys all snuggled up in bed reading the newest chapter is what keeps me up until 3:00am because I have to finish writing.
To encourage writers. Writers need engagement and feedback, it motivates and keeps them going. This in turn keeps stories from being abandoned through demotivation and burnout. New writers keep fandoms alive, we need them to keep the conversation going. Here, we do our part to boost writers, however new or experienced, and to keep writers writing.
To sound off about our blorbos. This means our favourite Stardew blorbos, the lil guys from the modded content, our own OCs... all of it! Having a space to really get into this stuff is where plot bunnies are bred, and good stories are written.
To support each other. Every member is equal. Every headcanon, however insane, is valid. Debate is welcome, there is no one way, one reading of a situation, no definitive answer. And thank Yoba for that! If there was, wouldn't life be boring...
The guild aims to be a welcoming and supportive space, promoting new ideas and old. The Discord server is busy and active at most times of the day, and there's something there for everyone.

FINALLY FINISHED THIS!! my own interpretation and additions to Sebastian's room in sdv ! Tried to keep anything in the image from the year 2010 or predated. i think theres a few give and takes but i really like the "older brother" early 2000s grunge aesthetic on another level and i thought who better fits it than him. I put a lot of references to stuff i personally like as well ^_^

i've been working on a pretty large Stardew Valley expansion mod for a while now. i am (obviously) not an artist, but i wanted to post a screenshot of my little WIP portrait for a custom NPC - Shrumbo! 🍄
if you don't recognize him, he's a little mushroom guy from the game Ooblets! if you've never heard of it, basically all you need to know is that he's a little guy that will dance-battle other little guys for you. (i'm serious, that's the entire game)
you might also notice that you don't recognize the building he's in. & that's because he lives with another custom NPC named Madison that runs this cute little shop. i'll post more about her later ♡
