Happy April-Fools-But-Not!

Hey!

So I've realized (through talking with people and some thinking) that since I have a hard time sharing lore, I've made a discord server!

Now, you might be asking a couple things, but here's the gist of it:

1. Why?

I have a hard time sharing lore here unless I'm prodded for it-that means the people who follow this account don't get to see much outside of some art every once in awhile.

I also had a problem with Discord servers where I would struggle to keep up with so many lore threads in so many different servers, it became too exhausting given how WTTM changes often to go back and change that stuff retroactively. The lore has also gotten pretty big over the years-the almanac totaling 40,000 words, and that's just too intimidating for people to read in one thread.

So, while I'm in the camp of "info shouldn't be locked off to Discord", it's just not feasible for me to maintain a website currently nor do I have the time to set one up, and this was the best alternative in my opinion.

2. Will anything change here?

No, not really. It's not really meant to be a big community thing; I know this account is small, it's just me trying to keep up with telling people my project in a way that's not SUPER intimidating and to not leave any (few) people genuinely interested in WTTM in the dark. This account will proceed as if nothing happened, it's just an option.

3. What's in it?

The server has the almanac and it's (now) 41,000 words organized into posts in a dedicated forum channel, separated by topic, including a more extensive art archive, the magic system's rules, synopsis & content warnings, and a suggestions/QnA section!

It also comes with an OC forum for people who want to promote their own projects (I like hearing about other people's stuff!) and tupperbox, mostly for systems who need it.

That's about it-still working on small drawings and currently a reference for Jonas, mostly focused on finishing the school year and finishing a video. Cheers!
