The thing that pains me the most is that Christopher has tried so so so hard to build a safe space for literally anyone and everyone throughout the years - even if you're not specifically a STAY, or someone who even particularly likes him, he'll still treat you with the same respect and kindness as he does with any other person. That's something that has always been unique to him - he does his best to be there for everyone even though he can't do much through a screen. He goes above and beyond for not only his fans, but other people who don't even know who he is, the people around him, his friends, his family, random strangers he meets on the street - whoever. He cares because that's the type of person he is - he cares so much more than the average person, and God knows how rare that is in a world where it's so easy to brush off how others are feeling because you're so preoccupied with yourself.
Do you know how many times he's ignored certain rules or staff that were holding him back because he just wanted to be there for STAY? Or, how he's always thinking what he could do to make these people he doesn't even know feel better, how he can somehow take away all the problems and issues from his precious fans - if he could, he'd take them all and deal with them himself if it meant everyone else was happy. Everything Chris does is for the benefit of others - all of his love and care goes into everyone else to the point where he doesn't even think twice about his own self. For years he hasn't cared about himself because he's been too busy caring about others - and for what? For WHAT? To be called cringe? To be made fun of? To be used as a universal punching bag for no reason other than you can't stand seeing someone have such a big heart?
Some of you are absolutely awful towards him. The things you say are so disgusting, and yet, he never says anything. Shrugs it off. He takes hit after hit, year after year - not to mention the inhumane way you treat him and the kids on a day to day basis. Pummelling them at airports, stalking them when they're trying to relax just so you can get a viral video, harassing their family members, bombarding their hotels, leaking information that you shouldn't even have - none of it is normal. At all. It is seriously worrying - they're PEOPLE. And I don't understand why you can't get that into your thick skulls - they aren't dolls or animals at a zoo - they're human beings with hearts and feelings, and the way you treat them is beyond inhumane. Even after everything, Chris still doesn't say anything - just ignores it because he doesn't want to cause more conflict. He gives you benefit of the doubt time after time again and you take such advantage of it by dragging him through the mud. Literally why? I don't understand what you get out of it. You blame him for everything - you criticise him for every single thing he says or does, you literally bully him, pick on every tiny detail, and then you have the audacity to complain when he disappears? It's disgusting, and so damn selfish of you. "I miss Channie," "It's so lonely without Channie" "Channie don't ignore us" - yet when he's actually here, you treat him like pure shit? Like he's little more than the dirt on the bottom of your shoe? Do you even understand how hypocritical you are?
It's like the only thing you see him good for is his body. The sexualisation of this man is genuinely ghastly - and the worst part? It's completely normalised. Someone tells you to stop and your automatic response would be "oh he'd find it funny" - would he actually? Think about it this way - if random men on the internet were making all of these gross remarks about you everyday all day long, it'd be classed as sexual harassment. Right? Why is it any different when it comes to him? You only see him as some sort of sexual object - like he should only be there putting his body on display, and nothing more. You can't stand when this man actually shows a bit of his personality or who he actually is on the inside - you find something wrong with everything that comes out of his mouth. All you guys do is make this poor man's life a misery - he has been nothing but kind to you from the very start, has treated all of you with an unbelievable amount of respect - yet none of you seem to care. You blame him for everything. Things that aren't in his control, things that he has nothing to do with, things that aren't his fault, yet you're always looking for someone to blame - because that's what fuels you, isn't it? You can't stand a man being successful and happy after working his ass off, going through hell and back multiple times - all you can think about is tearing him down.
And then when he finally says something, when he finally speaks up, HE'S in the wrong? Are you joking? You've terrorised this poor man constantly since debut to the point where he's scared to open his mouth because he knows anything he says is going to be twisted and warped and used against him. He's the one who has been trying so hard to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe enough to always speak their mind without judgement and fear, to live as you are - yet what do you do? Take away his freedom of speech and his peace of mind? Get angry when he isn't there for you at every second for every one of your problems? But God forbid if he has something on his mind - he's just there for your amusement and your boredom, right?
The way a large chunk of you treat Christopher just shows why you can't have nice things - you don't know how to act when someone truly cares or is kind towards you. You don't know how to appreciate what you have until it's gone - are you that ugly on the inside that all you know is how to bash down other people who are genuinely trying to be nice to you? It's genuinely so horrendous to see. You treat good people like shit and then wonder why they close up and disappear altogether.
Christopher deserves so much better. None of this is his fault - it's yours. And I hate that he's always blaming himself for things that shouldn't even be an issue - as if he's not insanely hard enough on himself already? I really don't understand why you can't treat him decently. This isn't 'love' like you say it is. None of this is something you would do if you love someone or if you're a fan of them - none of this is fair and he shouldn't have to deal with it. He deserves to be happy, and I really hate that you're all trying your hardest to take that away from him.
