It's appalling.
If you are a real Guy who does real shit there's a very good chance you die in obscurity.
If you are a big faker who fakes being a Guy for funsies in front of a camera people will sing your praises and act like you are the most important person ever and listen to your opinions and mourn your death and remember you.
That's not normal!
It's not normal to pretend along with the pretenders so fucking hard that you give them the credit owed to those who do things for real.
Celebrity is a social pathology, and it's destroyed people's discernment to the point of making fools of them.
Eh, I dunno. History seems to imply it's very normal for fakers to take the credit. Otherwise, why does it keep happening?
People remember Augustus as being a brilliant and powerful Princip of Rome. Fewer know about Agrippa for all the times he saved Augustus' ass.
People remember George Washington for being a "great general" (who lost almost every battle he fought). Fewer know about Nathaniel Greene, Lafayette, Francis Marion, and others. Hell, it was actually Robert Morris who kept the soldiers fighting through Valley Forge by paying them. Money.
People only Steve Jobs took a lot of the credit because Bill Burr made jokes about it.

My sister-in-law visited her dad about a week ago to see about talking him into rehab for his alcoholism. While she's visiting, he collapses. He's taken to the hospital where they discover a brain tumor.
They operate and remove the brain tumor. They perform a biopsy and have reason to believe it's metastatic. They look around a bit more and find stage 4 lung cancer. They would have estimated 5 years if he were healthy. 1-2 years is more realistic.
As you can imagine, this is all a lot for my sister-in-law. She's a relatively young Christian, having gotten back into church thanks to meeting my brother. But God's grip is stronger than her's. She is persevering and praying.
She hopes her father has enough time to be saved. She does not want to spend eternity without him.
The doctors estimate 3 months now.
My sister-in-law is reading to him and praying for him. She says it seems to be having an effect.
Please pray for her that even though her father's time is almost certainly drawing near, the whole family can know God through this. My sister has family she hasn't gotten along with for some time, and they're all here to see her father.
He's not the only one who needs healing.

If a repeat violent offender under a court order not to possess a knife goes and stabs someone while filming it himself and posts the video to social media, and the victim is crippled for life, I somehow feel like a seven year maximum sentence with likely parole before then is not quite sufficient.
Reforming the justice system seems hard cause you’ll hear a story of a guy going to a daycare and beating kids to death getting 1 year with parole and then 5 seconds later you’ll see a guy got sent to Guantanamo bay for driving into a mailbox

I like air rifles but a break action spring piston pellet rifle from horseback is an odd choice so I want to know what she has to hit and at what distance. I've done horseback shooting and it's hard as hell

No it'll be a solid pellet
I mean when you did it. I've heard of horseback shooting competitions before. It's at balloon targets, but your shots scatter a bit to make it more forgiving.
