Luigi Mangione has been locked up since December 2024, and he's been met with nothing but the violation of his rights every step of the way. Luigi's right to be treated humanely is constantly violated, as is his right to the presumption of innocence and a fair trial. Evidence is not being provided to his legal team, and he's being treated with prejudice by law enforcement.

Luigi is not a handsome face and a few jokes online. He is a real human being with real pain and real health issues. Luigi is a young man fighting for his life and the media is doing nothing but trying to sexualize him and make light of his situation.

Luigi has already lost so much to this, and although he remains resilient, it's important to remember that his circumstances can't possibly be good. It's also important to remember that if they can do it to Luigi, they can do it to more people, to your loved one, to you.

Still rotating in my mind how consistently we've seen both innie and outtie Mark respond to stress by being a dick to people who don't deserve it. Outtie Mark does this to Devon constantly. Innie Mark does it to MDR. He even did it to Gemma in the flashbacks.

And even if anyone calls him on it... no one ever like, enforces a boundary about it. Everyone just puts up with Mark being a dick. He does it, he gets away with it, he does it again.

And now for the first time Mark is receiving pushback. And it's from himself. Because both innie and outtie Mark don't like being bitched at, and they respond to the stress of being bitched at by, in classic Mark fashion, bitching back. Of course the camcorder conversation absolutely fell apart.

Like. The fact that Harmony Cobel was able to hold a more grounded and civil conversation with Mark S than Mark Scout could? Of course the episode ended how it did. Mark you had this a long time coming.

Even before Guanyin Temple—where Lan Xichen is instigated into stabbing Jin Guangyao, just for Jin Guangyao to go on this rant about how he’s “never” acted against Lan Xichen, how, in fact, he helped the other man due to nothing but their “friendship”—if you examine what we know about their relationship, Jin Guangyao’s claim is literally a lie. He has harmed Lan Xichen directly. He stoked discord between Lan Xichen and Nie Mingjue by making the former his shield against the latter. He lied about the reason behind Nie Mingjue’s dislike of him so that Lan Xichen would act as his support and eventually stuff him into prime assassinating position. He got Lan Xichen’s clan disciples killed during the Wen siblings’ sham trial, then tried to eliminate the survivors 13 years later in the second siege of the Burial Mounds. He made Lan Xichen an accessory to the murder of his sworn brother!!!

But if that wasn’t enough, to drive home the fact that Jin Guangyao is a manipulative, vengeful asshole to the core that would never let anyone go even when he knows he, himself, is at a dead end, he leads Lan Xichen directly into the path of danger, releases Nie Mingjue’s corpse, and then pushes Lan Xichen away as if to make the point that he genuinely cared about his faux relationships outside of how he could extract benefits from them! This is the equivalent of expecting gratitude from the person you forced at gunpoint into the path of an incoming train, just because you pushed them out of the danger zone at the last second and got ran over, instead. Jin Guangyao wasn’t considering Lan Xichen. He was never considering Lan Xichen. His goal was to make the other man question whether he was truly in the right for doubting Jin Guangyao’s friendship and motives.

(And the unambiguous answer given all these events is yes, Lan Xichen absolutely was).

The fact that Jiang Cheng's birthday is November 5th, the new holiday of "the things, they just keep happening" really resonates with me.

so once again we have a recall where the company responsible does not actually know all of where its products wound up. which is bad, because bleach is in them. the list of affected states is not comprehensive.

if you use these products in these sizes at all, anywhere in the US, check your cartons.

the manufacturer did not catch their own contamination. someone sent a tip to the FSIS, who investigated and found that yes, this shit is contaminated with a cleaning solution that contains bleach.

although you probably do not want to eat these on purpose, the FSIS insists that the contaminated products are probably not going to cause major health issues, and none had been reported when the recall was announced. but it is worth pointing out that a lot of these products went to foodservice, and most people making or ordering an omelette do not think they are about to eat fucking bleach.

if you got sick after ordering an egg dish, reach out to appropriate foodservice staff and ask if they use these products.

if you think eating the contaminated products may have hurt you, talk to your doctor.
