are witch pen pals a thing?

imagine exchanging crystals, candles, herbs, incense, pendants buying each other tarot decks sharing spells writing sigils on the letter to help the delivery sharing experiences with certain spells, sigils, etc teaching each other about different deities, crystal powers, herb properties, cleansing methods celebrating different holidays together exchanging witch tips and bits of knowledge the possibilities are endless!!

It’s a thing now! Check out the FAQ and follow magickmail for more information! The Witchy Penpals Registry does not store any personal information, and is purely a registry of likeminded individuals looking for penpals. 🔮✨

My Witchy Wishlist 🎄✨

1. Stationary of any sort

2. Letters! I love snail mail

3. Smooth sea glass to make into a set of furthark runes

4. Art of The Hanged Man

5. Commissions? I take writing commissions at $1/100 words and I can do fanfiction and original work. More than anything this year I need some extra cash to keep my partner and I afloat through some rough times. I also do by-donation divination.

Odin: A spectre in a mirror behind a fog at the end of a long dimly lit hallway

Oddly, it’s the reverse for me.

In honour of this blog’s launch I’m taking ten requests for free tarot readings! These will be three-card pulls, general readings (no questions this time) and though I’ll be posting them all publicly they can be anon or not; entirely up to you.

If you would like a reading, please follow these steps: i. Consider following this blog (optional) ii. Reblog this post iii. Send me an ask with one amazing fact

If I get more then ten requests before I close this, within reason I will probably just do all the ones in my inbox.  I’ll be using The Wild Unknown Tarot.

“Remember why you became a polytheist. Perhaps you prayed and Someone unexpected answered. Perhaps a Goddess tapped you on the shoulder and said “you’re mine.” Perhaps you realized that the world is better explained by many Gods of limited power and scope than by one all-powerful God and you decided that following Them was the best way to order your life. It’s hard to be spiritual when your roof is leaking. If your current situation has dampened your enthusiasm for the Gods, Their virtues, and Their work, it’s understandable. And usually, They understand too – They tend to have a longer and wider perspective than we do. But whatever your reason for becoming a polytheist, it was valid then and it’s still valid now.”

Ya know, if books on queer and trans magick and paganism were anymore common I’d be in some serious trouble.

Help a queer out and name the authors, enquiring minds want to know!

No problem!

From Left to Right:

1) Queer Magick: Power Beyond Boundaries

Edited by: Lee Harrington and Tai Fenix Kulystin

Description: A compilation of essays, drawings, and stories about queer magick and paganism.

2) Gender and Transgender in Modern Paganism

Published by:  Circle of Ceridwen press

Description: A collection of essays, personal stories and poems about being trans and pagan compiled in response to trans exclusion at Pantheacon 2011.

3) Queer Magic: LGBT+ Spirituality and Culture from Around the World

Written by: Tomas Prower

Description: An overview of queer spirituality and magickal practices throughout the world. Includes discussion of queer magick in both pagan and non-pagan religions.

4) Casting a Queer Circle: Nonbinary Witchcraft

Written by: Thista Minai

Description: A book discussing the Spectrum Gates Mysteries tradition and how it’s can be used as an alternative practice for people who want to enter more traditional magickal paths like wicca, but need a path that is inclusive of their gender identity.

5) All Soul, All Body, All Love, All Power: A Trans Mythology

Written by: P. Sufenas Virius Lupus

Description: I honest to goodness don’t know what this book is about. Like I’m pretty sure it’s a compilation of trans inclusive myths, but I haven’t read it yet and it’s set up in a really weird way and also doesn’t have any chapter descriptions so who knows. I guess I’ll find out when I read it.

Hope that helps!

Excellent and tyvm!

5) TransMythology is the origin myth in epic poem style of the first four members of the Tetrad++, a new pantheon of deities that have arisen in the past 5-10 years. They were first known in a PantheaCon ritual, and later two more joined. This book has the irl origins of them, the ritual and context and background and the like, and then the majority of the book is the epic poem. It charts the birth and rise to power of Panpsyche (All-Soul), Panhyle (All-Body), Paneros (All-Love) and Pancrates (All-Power) who are all trans deities. Panpsyche is a trans woman, Panhyle is her brother a trans man, Paneros is their child and metagender, and Pancrates arose from Paneros and is pangender.

The book about the other two members isn’t out yet and unfortunately the author has taken down e’s website so the poems are no longer accessible. But they are Paneris (All-Strife) who is Paneros’ wife/husband/spouse and is genderfluid (emphasis on the fluid), and Panprosdexia (All-Acceptance) who was created to balance Pancrates on a blacksmiths forge and is agender and asexual.

I have more information on them if you’re interested under my tag “deity profile”

FREE 1-Card Tarokka Readings 🔮

In honour of new beginnings and my promise to learn new things, I’ve decided to start this blog out by offering ten free Tarokka readings to my followers. What is Tarokka, I hear you say? A quasi-tarot cartomancy deck found in D&D 5th Ed that I have been dying to try out.

In exchange for a reading, tell me something that scares you. I’ll close these once I have ten requests, and I’ll post each of the readings publicly; just send me an ask. It can be anon, or off-anon.
