This list was created consulting Year in Reviews, Fanlore articles, user feedback, vintage pinterest posts, and my own knowledge. Don't worry about not seeing the shows in their entirety, vote based on your judgement. Enjoy!

Ao3 does not need an algorithm, you're just lazy

Ao3 does not need a 1-5 star rating system, you just want to bring down authors writing for FREE

Ao3 does not need automatic censorship, it is an archive, therefore anything can be posted

Writing or reading about something illegal does not mean the author nor the reader condones it, if that were true, you could never read a story involving anything negative

Purity culture is ruining fan culture and you all are fucking annoying

K/S Spring Fever fics are no longer anonymous, which means that I get to reveal my own!

When rain interrupts their shore leave, Kirk and Spock find themselves taking shelter in a greenhouse filled with Vulcan plants. Kirk is very in love. (Luckily for him, Spock is, too.) - Kirk turned towards him, and was greeted with the sight of Spock standing in the doorway, looking thoroughly disgruntled as water streamed down him and pooled at his feet. His arms were held awkwardly apart from his body, and his sodden robes were plastered to him, accentuating his slim form. Misery was evident in the lines of his face, made mockery of by the water droplets dripping placidly from the tip of his nose. And Kirk, again, burst into laughter. โ€œYou look like a drowned cat!โ€ Spock turned towards him stiffly, looking affronted. โ€œHardly.โ€ Then, to make a liar of him, his ears twitched. Like a catโ€™s.

if you're gonna get into star trek you gotta understand that YES when it works it's some of the best anything ever put to television. but you gotta understand. it absolutely does not always work. you cannot truly love star trek unless you accept the fact that while more than half of the episodes are good, a not-insignificant portion of trek episodes -- especially from the most widely-beloved classic series -- are actually dogshit and terrible. and I would recommend that you love those episodes too
