also can't believe that this is legitimately the most we've seen buck and hen interact since he came out.
We need BuckTommy wedding before the end of the series because I need them lovey Dover at the reception and Best Man Chimney gets on the mic and says “I think I speak for everyone when I say I would kindly ask the groom and the groom to get a room.” So Buck can make a face and bat his hand at nothing (because you can’t give someone the finger at 8pm on ABC) and go right back to canoodling with Tommy at their table.
We Need BuckTommy wedding before the end of the series so Maddie can flirtatiously ask Chimney if he’s ever gone home from a wedding with a bridesmaid before.
We need BuckTommy wedding before the end of the series so there can be a bit where Eddie, Ravi, and Chimney squabble over who gets the MOST credit for getting them together.
We need Tevan wedding before the end of the series because they still haven't gotten to dance at one so it might as well be their own.
Holding up snarky signs doesn't seem to be working.
For me, it isn't about whether this action is appropriate or not. It's about how this kind of action is inevitable.
I'm going to let Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. explain in a quote no one seems to post during his annual holiday.
"It is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear?"
If you only speak up about a supercharger catching fire and ignore the unheard, you are prioritizing a thing over people.
it's honestly such a curious case how miserable and petty the 911 fandom can be because it's like, so easy to have fun here? like i just imagined buck placing a kiss on top of tommy's spine in the morning and it making tommy ticklish and it gave me immediate and immense joy. i can even double it by just picturing tommy turning around and manhandling him to stop as buck giggles like a literal baby, and every part of this is for free
The final chapter, Acceptance, is now posted! I am going to get started on the next part, but it may be a few weeks. I want to get more written and planned out before I start posting. For now, here is the beginning of this chapter. Enjoy!
Buck walked into the 118 for the first time since he told Bobby that he was leaving. It felt weird to see it was exactly the same inside the station, yet everything had changed. Buck had changed. He felt… better. Not everything had gone back to the way it was, but he didn’t know if he wanted it to. He had started to work towards building better relationships with 118, becoming a better family.
Today, he was going to let them know that he’s coming back. He talked with Bobby first to let him know what he was thinking. Bobby was disappointed that they wouldn’t be working another shift together, but he ultimately understood Buck’s desire to have a fresh start. But Buck had promised to be there for Bobby’s last shift. For now, though, he had something he needed to do.
As he walked up the stairs, he could hear Eddie and Chim arguing about something, before Chim turned to Hen for backup. When he got to the top, he could see Hen rolling her eyes and deciding to stay out of it. It was like he had never left. That thought hit him hard. He had always had this nagging insecurity in the back of his mind that he was expendable, so it hurt to admit that there might be some truth to that. He shoved those feelings down. Bobby had said the place wasn’t the same without him. So maybe he just wasn’t seeing the difference yet. Plus, he had a different goal in mind for today.

Okay but counterpoint: Tommy has been going to that bar for the past couple months because he knew Buck went occasionally and was hoping fate would intervene 🥺
!!!!!!!!!!! listen. i wanted to make this point earlier but didn’t know how to fit it in the post.
so when buck is asking ravi if he’d want to hang out after work, and suggest going drinking, he says ‘i know a great place’ and then they go there. AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW. TOMMY IS THERE TOO!!!
and then along with the whole ‘i’ve been fighting the urge to call you for months, and i was driving by your place the other day’ thing from tommy. i could 100% see him going to that bar hoping to see buck.
sometimes i can’t believe it took seven seasons for someone to look at buck and call him adorable as if he isn’t the most adorable ever. thank you tommy
Thinking about Buck being so distraught over Bobby dying but not wanting anyone to accuse him of making it all about himself because hearing that would break him more than he already is so he hides his pain. That is until Tommy comes to see how he’s doing and Buck tells him and Tommy reassures him he’d never say or think that and that it’s ok for him to show his hurt because Bobby was like a father to him. And that’s what does Buck in and he collapses in Tommy’s arms and sobs.
What if Buck does call Tommy during the 8.14/15 for help and we see it from Tommy’s pov and he was maybe on a date?
Maybe somebody has been kinda pursuing him lately but he was so hung up on Buck that he couldn’t say yes but since Buck told him he had no feelings for Tommy anymore he just says “fuck it” and said yes
lou waving at angela and her waving back oh my heart
Buck dressing for comfort not show will always be one of my favorite elements of his relationship with Tommy: the fact that he felt safe and content and happy enough to not feel the need to rely on accentuating his body like he did with every other partner.
