Listening to the Mickey 7/Antimatter Blues audiobooks. I absolutely love how Lukas messes with Speaker by calling it “wormie” and telling it things about humans that aren’t true.
Also, while I love the books, I do think the movie wraps things up a lot cleaner. So I have an equal love for both of them to be honest.

Since the trailer for The Murderbot Diaries has dropped I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. And Ive realized this live action of The Murderbot Diaries, could be considered cannon in a way. Comedy or not.
Please consider the following-
Murderbot and Peri (ART) really enjoy impractical and absurd shows. It’s their favorite genre.
We also know they both dislike non-fiction. This is shown to us in Artifical Condition—when Murderbot had Peri watch media based on a true story, which triggered a panic attack when characters in the story died.
From then on Murderbot had to filter the media it shared with ART.
There are also some moments where Murderbot tends to dislike shows that mirror its own narrative. When a scientist is eaten by hostile fauna, it has to stop watching the show. Whenever media portrays humans as helpless instead of heroic it also has to stop watching, including shows that were simply headed towards a bad endings.
The AppleTV Murderbot is not going to be perfect we know this already. And I’ve heard Martha wants us to treat it like really good fan-fiction. Thats fine.
But in my mind for now, this show is what ART and Murderbot collaborated on, possibly even for Bharadwaj. Adding their favorite tropes from TV-Shows, making it a comedy to get rid of the sting of reality. Considering both of these characters live inside Marthas head and the fact she had a voice in the film, I cant unsee this as a collaborative piece from both of them.
I would also love to see an Easter Egg in the end credits of the series, Murderbot and Perihelion (Asshole Research transport) being credited as part of the production crew. I just think it would be funny.
Forgot I didn't follow the murderbot tag (currently reading network effect) and saw your art. Let's just say I love it (it's fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥).
Thank you!!! It’s the reason I joined Tumblr actually! I couldn’t find the fandom anywhere else. And now that I’m here I feel like my obsession with it has only gotten worse. I’m glad MB brain-rot isn’t only affecting me, and people are enjoying the silly things I’m making! :)

to be clear since this is making the rounds: she has to be an absolute loser in no way that can be pinned on her gender. no "i'm just a girl tee-hee" stuff. straight up just a loser (nondenominational)
addendum: she must be the most important person in the whole narrative
I decided to sit down and concentrate and properly write the list of rules that qualify a character for this role.
- FIRST LAW: This character must be a woman.
- SECOND LAW: This character must be a loser, but not in a way that can be pinned on her gender. Misogynistic response from the audience does not disqualify the character.
- THIRD LAW: If the audience does not enjoy this character, then it becomes impossible to enjoy the show/film/book/game altogether. It is not possible to ignore this character, for better or for worse.
- FOURTH LAW: The character must make bad decisions, and not just be a victim of poor circumstances outside of her control. The character can also be a victim of poor circumstances outside of her control, but it has to be primarily her personal choices that deem her a loser.
