Transwomen should have lost all credibility the moment they uttered "theyfab". They take a break from pretending to be female to acknowlage their maleness and your femaleness to remind you that they have power over you that you will never identify out of.

"Theyfab" means you fell for your own hype and forgot your place. It's a peek behind the curtain of what they really think.

The insulting part of "theyfab" is "female".

I peaked so hard once I realized this. Years of essays the length of short college papers going on and on about how traumatizing their maleness being brought up even slightly is for them, just for them to persistently bring up and shame trans men for being female and the ones who know they face female oppression.

for some reason tumblr thinks i want to read about transandrophobia so i keep seeing posts made by trans men about hate they experience from their own people. i’ve never really known how trans men are treated in their own community (except being largely ignored i guess) and it’s quite interesting to see how they are trying so hard to escape being seen as women but they’re still failing and their lovely trans women are the first to let them down and show them exactly who they are. shit they say is so cruel for absolutely no reason, it is so disgusting, it just reminds me again and again that nothing actually changes in the dynamics between sexes, women are still the ones bearing the burden of being insulted, humiliated, hurt while simultaneously caring for their abusers, supporting them, protecting them. nothing truly shows us there is no meaningful difference between good old patriarchal women and these new unique and special queer women.

Nothing peaks someone (especially trans men) more than examining how trans women treat trans men.

that being said...theyfab is a funny word. yes it is an insult and not a slur, because the people saying it are using it about a behavior that consistently happens from people who act as if their ASAB is ontologically pure/incapable of harm and it is almost always white tme afab people 😭 of course you can argue that cis white men use that defense too but we already have plenty of insults that aren't slurs for them, like pig/cissy/whatever and there's no push on recognizing "dickhead" as a slur

the people using theyfab as an insult/descriptor aren't saying it misogynistically or "haha you were born a WOMAN" they're pointing out the fact they consistently fall back on misgendering themselves and/or being "one of the girls" to get out of trouble or deflect blame, refusing to admit they get privilege on any axis despite being white/"upper middle class"/perceived as cis women or men, and gatekeep "afab issues" from trans women and transfems despite the fact that they go through a lot of the same things even without HRT.

thus is why theyfab is being used as an insult — it's a word created at the crux of a very frustrating issue and the people who would fall under that classification are angry about being called out for that behavior. a saying i like to remember when talking about group-specific discourse is "a hit dog will holler"; embarrassment and anger at problem behavior being pointed out especially in any way that isn't kind and hand-holdy is the worst thing ever, a hate crime, a slur, bigotry, etc.

that brings me to a question i personally have: if theyfab is such a slur, why is it not reclamation-worthy? because the people calling themselves fagdykes and "weird trannies" who are getting mad about being called theyfabs are a circle. you'd think they'd be more upset about being called words used in precedence to assault and murder and not a word some frustrated transfems came up with to describe some real weenie behavior

ok, for those of you who don't know, jk rowljng donated £70k to an organisation of Scottish women who wanted the legal definition of a woman to be based on biological sex alone in the uk. today they had this ruled for in court.

the legal definition of a woman in the uk is now based purely on biological sex, likely preventing trans people from changing their sex on legal documents. we are still apparently protected from discrimination though.

the worst part of this is that news reports have been treating this as a good thing. jk rowling is painted as an amazing person in school assemblies. after doing not only what she does on twitter, but actively funding the discrimination of trans people.

Even news stations leaning left have said this causes for celebration. They emphasise and amplify the voices of those who champion this rewriting of human rights and dignity.

More like even the most tolerable left leaning media have woken up to how misogynistic the modern trans community is. Women deserve single sex spaces. Trans women need to make their own spaces.

Boy, it’s a good thing lesbians are a monolith and you speak for ‘em. Why, if they weren’t and you didn’t, that’d make your bullshit transphobia pretty damn sus! Likewise your ‘they should make their own spaces’, ffs I don’t know why you’re pretending you want trans folks to exist at all.

Trans community acts like biological women who agree with them are a monolith and therefore justifies trans women taking over female spaces so why can’t I? Trans women being asked to make their own spaces doesn’t mean wanting them to die. In fact, until recently I was a huge trans supporter.

But there’s too many incidents of “trans women” committing sex crimes in female spaces and the trans community either pretending it doesn’t happen or is a rare occurrence for trans women being in single sex spaces meant for biological females to not be a risk. And since the trans community won’t do anything about the rising amount of male predators within it, that is the ultimate proof that single sex spaces for biological women are important and that self-ID laws need to be revised.
