As of Monday I won't be browsing my dash any longer; this site doesn't have a culture of tagging posts to make them easy to filter (and indeed I see people censoring words which makes filtering impossible), and for my own mental health I need to avoid certain topics.

If we're mutuals, you can message me, and I'll still be happy to chat as always. Just not about politics, please, and I will be enforcing that boundary pretty strictly. Otherwise, asks (including anons) will remain open as long as I can do so without endangering myself.

Hello!

These days I'm focusing at making local connections with accepting folks / other trans folks, and spending less time online altogether. This is proving to be incredibly healing and I would wholeheartedly recommend it!

That said, platforms like mastodon and the rest of the fediverse are great, would recomment for sure :) They're not panaceas, there's still a lot of bigotry and awfulness, but fedi in particular is better for filtering things than tumblr for sure.
