hun, are you okay? you reblogged โwife timeโ 10 times today
i love reddit so fucking much
This last round was quite an eventful one, with many tough matchups. However, this round may shape up to be even tougher. Let's take a look at the matchups.
SteamOS 3 vs FreeBSD - SteamOS is taking this one. Its mainstream appeal is just not possible for FreeBSD to beat.
TempleOS vs Graphene OS - This match is tough to predict, especially with TempleOS managing to completely crush Rocky Linux. It's probably making it to the semifinals at this rate.
Fedora vs Debian - The battle of the stable distros. These two are the core of the most popular stable release distros, and their runs so far have proven why. However, these two unstoppable forces are meeting here. If I had to pick who is winning, it'll have to be debian, although I'm rooting for fedora.
Arch vs Nix - Another big clash, however this one I see going to arch. It just has too large of a following and meme potential to go home here.
Surprising eliminations -
Linux Mint - Even though it was matched up against arch, mint still has a fairly large following, and managed to gain 45% of the vote. Better luck next time.
YiffOS - Yiff was seeming to be a big swinger here, only for nix to bring a sudden and abrupt end to its sweep.
Kali - I thought kali's notoriety would bring it to win here, yet steamos pulled it off.
Rocky Linux - What an upset here. TempleOS absolutely crushed rocky, which I expected to make the finals.
Anyway, as per usual, polls will be going up soon.
Was supposed to do commentary tomorrow, but I'm coming home from watching a Minecraft Movie and feel like getting my mind off it.
Steam OS3 vs FreeBSD - I've said this from the beginning, but I love what SteamOS has been doing for Linux adoption, it's going to take this round and rightfully so. Honestly - I see it taking second place.
TempleOS vs GrapheneOS - Graphene, apparently, has a huge fanbase. I'm thinking the joke appeal takes for Temple here and it will lose its next matchup, but homestly, I'd love to see Graphene go up to halves.
Fedora vs Debian - I'm with @tux-official mostly on this one. The vote is swinging, so I'm still hoping for our new home girl @fedora-official to take it, but I understand why it's so split. So much of today's Linux world has roots in Debian. But I just couldn't vote for it given how insanely unusable it is on its own on a regular desktop.
Arch vs Nix - the second heavy hitter of the round. I'm gonna be real, I'm not sure what will win, but I fucking hope it's Arch. I'm no fan of nix's paradigm, I'm a lifelong Arch user and to me, it just has no equals in terms of everyday usability for the Linux enthusiast. I call upon all of my moots to support it. I can send send paw pics or some shit if you do.
User agents are funny because it's basically just a little ID card that says "hi this is who I am don't worry I would never lie to you :)" and websites will just go "ok! :3"
I had an experience where twitch was blocking me because I wasn't on base firefox or chrome and I'll try get a picture to explain
I couldn't find a meme template so it's this basically
Can a very intelligent and charismatic linux blog explain to the rest of the class how one would do this?
For purely academic purposes, of course
Was gonna repeat the article I found but tbh it would be more honest and helpful if I just gave it to you.
There are also some extensions which allow you to have different user agents for different sites
linux mint my beloved <3
