HEY!

I'd like to request Aventurine x ftm!reader please

Do anything that you want with that, just like trans fluff or anytging or hcs of how he'd act or dysphoria comfort :3

Or maybe all at once, who knows? :D

Masterpiece in Motion

Summary: Aventurine comforts his FtM partner (you) during a difficult moment of dysphoria. With his characteristic charm and flair, he reassures you of your worth, helping you see yourself through his eyes. Beneath his theatrics lies a deeply sincere devotion, offering the safety and love needed to face the mirror and rediscover your confidence.
Tags: Aventurine x FtM!Reader, Fluff, Dysphoria Comfort, Emotional Support, Affirmation & Reassurance, Loving Partner, Vulnerability, Gender Identity.
Warnings: Brief mentions of dysphoria and self-doubt, Emotional vulnerability.
A/N: sorry if I made the representation (?) or something wrong 😭🙏

The plush atmosphere of Aventurine’s suite was an ironic juxtaposition of opulence and chaos—a scattered deck of cards, a toppled glass of wine, and a table pushed against the wall spoke volumes about the man’s personality. The glow of his eyes softened as they flicked over to you, seated on the luxurious couch with a look of quiet unease.

How to write a character that's bad at kissing...

  • clumsy, messy, sloppy
  • uncoordinated
  • easily overwhelmed
  • unable to keep up or stay on pace with the other person
  • attempting to copy the other person but failing
  • shoving their tongue into the other persons mouth
  • not connecting their lips properly and accidentally clicking their teeth with the other persons
  • accidentally biting the other person
  • being too rough or too soft
  • doesn't know where to put their hands
  • awkward, stiff, unsure
  • forgets to breathe

20 Ways to Show Extreme Fear in Your Writing

As I dive into researching signs of fear for my horror WIP, I wanted to share some of the most compelling and visceral reactions I’ve come across. Whether you’re writing a chilling scene or crafting a character’s panic, these 20 signs of fear can help bring tension and realism to your story.

Physical Reactions

  1. Hyperventilating — sucking in air but never feeling like it’s enough
  2. Chest tightens — feels like a weight or hands pressing down
  3. Limbs shaking violently, knees buckling
  4. Complete loss of muscle control — collapsing or unable to stand
  5. Cold sweat soaking through clothes
  6. Heart hammering so hard they feel it in their throat or head
  7. Tunnel vision — the world narrowing down to one terrifying focal point
  8. Ringing in the ears or sudden deafness, like the world drops away
  9. Dizziness / feeling faint / vision blurring
  10. Dry mouth — unable to speak or even scream

Uncontrollable Behavior

  1. Screaming / sobbing / gasping — involuntary vocal outbursts
  2. Panic run — bolting without thinking, tripping over everything
  3. Clawing at their own skin / chest / throat — like trying to escape their body
  4. Begging / pleading out loud even if no one’s there
  5. Repeating words or phrases — “No, no, no” / “This isn’t happening”
  6. Hiding instinctively — diving under tables, closets, or corners
  7. Desperate grabbing — reaching for someone, anything solid
  8. Loss of bladder or bowel control (for extreme terror)
  9. Total mental shutdown — frozen, slack-jawed, staring blankly
  10. Memory blackout — later can’t recall what happened during the worst moment

Fragility : Is overly sensitive to criticism and easily discouraged. Egotism : Constantly focuses on oneself and one’s own importance. Defensiveness : Quickly rejects or rationalizes away critique or new information. Manipulativeness : Exploits others to fulfill personal needs or desires. Recklessness : Shows a careless disregard for potential risks or consequences. Resentfulness : Holds lingering bitterness and grudges over perceived wrongs. Distractibility : Finds it hard to maintain focus amid competing interests. Impatience : Lacks the willingness to wait, often spoiling opportunities to learn. Perfunctory : Performs actions in a mechanical, uninspired manner. Self-Doubt : Consistently questions personal abilities and decisions. Arbitraryness : Makes decisions based on whim rather than reason or evidence. Rigidity : Is inflexible and unwilling to consider alternative viewpoints. Gullibility : Trusts too easily, often leading to being misled or deceived. Obsession : Becomes excessively fixated on particular ideas or details. Aloofness : Maintains emotional distance, appearing detached or indifferent. Intolerance : Refuses to accept differing perspectives or lifestyles.

Writing Advice for Brainstorming

  • Mix genres and time periods: Experiment by combining elements from different eras or genres to create unique settings and narratives.
  • Use "what if" scenarios: Pose unexpected questions (e.g., What if time travel operated on emotions rather than mechanics?) to spark novel ideas.
  • Draw from diverse mediums: Engage with art, music, or even scientific papers to inspire unexpected plot twists.
  • Embrace absurdity: Let illogical or surreal ideas guide you; sometimes the wildest thoughts lead to compelling stories.
  • Reverse clichés: Identify common tropes in your favorite genres and deliberately invert them to create fresh perspectives.
  • Incorporate personal anomalies: Transform your idiosyncrasies and personal struggles into rich, multi-dimensional characters.
  • Use mind-mapping: Visually plot your ideas in a freeform way to uncover hidden connections between disparate elements.

Fun fact: Cheetahs only attack prey that runs

REALLY FUN FACT for big cats cheetahs are fucking docile as shit

my grandfather ran a cheetah sanctuary in south africa and he’d just lie with them and sleep among them and they’d rub against him and chirp at him they’re big fucking babies

Another Fun Fact: Cheetahs are incredibly nervous animals. One of the (many) reason’s they’re going extinct is that cheetahs are so sensitive and nervous, some of them are literally too nervous to breed. Others will breed, but stress themselves out so much, they’ll lose their cubs. So zoos with breeding programs had to figure out how to make cheetahs comfortable enough to first of all, get laid and secondly - not spazz themselves into miscarrying. So what’d they do? They gave the cheetah’s their very own Service Dogs! The dogs make them feel safe, protected and secure!

THIS IS OFFICIALLY MY FAVOURITE POST

This is the greatest thing I’ve seen all day.

Dogs are truly angels.

so THATS why these cheetah ft dogo pics exist

the anxiety cat

Also! Cheetahs are not in fact classified as big cats, they are simply very large lesser cats, due to the fact that they purr, meow, chirp, and cannot roar. Also many cheetahs have learned to recognize wildlife photographers are friends and not foes, so they will just come up to people and be friendly occasionally as pictured at the top of the chain. Some will even leave their Cubs with photographers to look after while they hunt. So. Yeah. Cheetahs are great

this works because cheetahs are actually fairly social animals, and they look to members of their group for context on how worried they should be about any given Situation. but since cheetahs are also nervous social animals, they can work each other into an anxiety spiral pretty easily over things like “being in an enclosed habitat” and “there’s a guy over there”.

so by introducing a dog as a member of the group, the cheetahs will now look to the dog for context clues on how worried they should be! and the dog Is Not Worried At All, Thanks, so the cheetahs think everything must be chill even if they were personally unsure about it, and they stop being so freaked out about literally everything.

Cheetah: oh god what’s going on how are we feeling weird spotless cheetah

Dog: :) fine, thanks

Cheetah: :) oh, okay

Wasn’t expecting this of all posts to be the first tumblr post I’ve ever seen crest 2mil notes, but I’ll take it

Great news for my genetically modified cheetah race I guess

YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

This is actually info I didn’t know

Seriously folks review my books! Review everyone’s books!

It’s the difference between Amazon giving a damn about you verses pushing your book to the bottom of the food chain.

a) everything the graphic says is true! b) would love some love from Amazon. c) people are much more likely to review when they don’t like something, so it is lovely to have nice reviews to offset the ‘1 star, ripped off Star Wars.’

I’d like to personally tag @inkskinned because she definitely deserves lots of love on the Amazon comments and reviews section too! <3

Amazon is picky about reviews if they suspect you are friends with the author. Don’t disclose and subvert the system!

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

I couldn't remember the word "doorknob" ten minutes ago.

ok but the onelook thesaurus will save your life, i literally could not live without this website

Bro I just had the weirdest dream

So there was this duck. And the duck was trying to get promoted to some rank within a castle. So he was going to stage a rescue that the king would see so that he could be bestowed a new title (Doctor Duck or Duck the Ducktor, I'm not sure which one my brain went with).

I think this duck had plans to kill the king and take their place, but I forgot anything else that happened. There also may or may not have been a dragon helping the duck.

I think my dream POV kept switching between the duck and the dragon too.

Currently thinking of a Danganronpa AU with my OCs.

This one is with the Fillies (whom I haven't posted about yet, but oh well)

Because there's only 6 of them, there are only going to be two murders max.

Filly Pie is going to be the MC. Her ultimate will probably have something to do with drawing, but I don't want to make her another Ultimate Painter. Probably Ultimate Fanartist, or Ultimate Fan.

Rosie is going to be the main secondary character, and her ultimate is gonna be something stupid like "Ultimate Emo", but she’s actually really useful in the class trials.

Simonetta is going to be the Ultimate Ritualist. She doesn't really have a choice here because doing rituals (as part of a deal to the demons possessing her body) is a part of her character. The demons are also strong enough to overpower Monokuma, but it comes at the cost of sacrificing Simonetta's body (and therefore, her life).

Starwish is going to be the Ultimate Troll. She was destined for that role. They're also going to die (probably by suicide) because she's more useful to the AU that way (dw she gets to cook in her own canon story, just not here)

The Bickering Twins are going to die first. Whether one of them kills the other, or something else happens, I haven't decided yet.

The (planned) ending is that Filly Pie is going to snap at the end of the second trial and try to commit suicide, Rosie is going to stop her, grab the gun and shoot Monokuma. Obviously, he gets angry and attacks Rosie, but Simonetta (and the demons) get in the way and Rosie and Filly escape, being the only two survivors of the killing game.

The issue with this is that the middle is basically just filler. I'll have to work on that.

I have some Murder Drone OCS. This is one out of three.

Meet N4N0. She's transfem and definitely a Cyn kinnie.

Not only is she infected with Solver, she can also completely manipulate the code of any drone she touches (as long as she touches them long enough to virtually copy, paste and run the code), as well as herself (to a lesser extent).

She used to be a worker drone named Vance (do not call her that, she completey rejects his identity)

(If you do call her that she will definitely obliterate you, I guarantee)

Picrew I used:
