What's up!

I'm Ryn (She/Her) and I'm an Autistic 4th year Veterinary student who loves aquatic animals and has a Carol Danvers hyperfixation on the side. (Solely putting Autistic in the descriptors because YES! you can be neurodivergent and still be a doctor.)

  • I can't see anything in my head. (Complete Aphantasia)
  • I have read every single Carol Danvers comic that is currently in existence (Even Civil War II, which we just won't talk about).
  • I drink a lot of half-sweet DB cold brew iced coffee.
  • I like the Fast and Furious movies unironically (I can't explain it. I love them. I eat them up so hard).
  • My childhood was a mix of Ethel Cain and "The Glass Castle," so that's where I get my 🌶💫🪱🩹💥🩸🤙

ValCarol is my top pairing (as evidenced by the existence of this entire blog) and as such, they are most of what I post/reblog.

i really have to admit. ncis sydney’s ongoing thing of having characters act super traumatized in a way that points to backstory stuff without actually revealing any of the backstory is really working for me. like what do you MEAN blue doesn’t know her birthday and has three padlocks on her door and what happened to deshawn in the seals and why would mackey rather have open heart surgery without anaesthetic before she says anything about her personal life. GIVE ME ANSWERS.

Some fanfiction tips and tricks:

Hi hello how are you- I've been writing a lot of fanfiction recently (shocker) and wanted to make a little list of helpful tips when it comes to formatting and getting thoughts in order. I still fall prey to many of these errors and see a lot of them out there on AO3, which stifles a good chunk of fics that readers, especially English only speakers, ultimately lose interest in/are unfamiliar with.

Okay okay. the Marvels movie is brilliant. It brings me so much joy. It’s like a glowing bubble of happiness. We get:

Kamala Khan who is seriously my favorite addition to the MCU. She’s delightful. I want to bottle her energy and personality for when I need it. She needs to be in everything, and I adore her completely.

The Khans. They steal every scene. LOVE them.

Goose. The licking scene. Snort.

All the Flerken babies. Just. Cats. YES.

Friggin “Memory” playing while the flerkens are eating everyone and floating around. I ascended. The music nerd in me nearly died. I’ve seen the scene a bajillion times now, and it’s still hilarious. I’m a simple person.

“So we’re literally herding cats? Here kitty.” I’m dead.

Eating people, getting seasick, and throwing them up. To save them. Bwahahahahahahaha.

Monica coming back and getting to hash it out with Carol.

The whole musical sequence. I’m so glad they went there and committed to the bit.

Every time Kamala is fangirling and being a teenager. So. Every time she’s on screen.

Seeing Maria Rambeau again. Twice.

Women.

Women women everywhere.

It’s a Marvel movie that’s more silly than serious, and I’m here for it. And did I mention women?
