We all share information with eachother actively, and the environment makes it almost impossible to not learn more about hypnosis and yourself.

it's interesting to think about how the internet and most especially video essays kind of collectively formed the new emotion/feeling of "liminality" for many people

like, we experience a great deal of specific combinations of emotions all of the time, some with such specificity and nicheness that they could normally never become widespread, but youtube's propensity to turn obscure concepts into viral phenomenons has given people this linguistic foothold for the very specific emotion of "not quite empty, but not quite alive either"

we can feel as if the way we as a society categorizes emotion has some unchangeable, inherent nature to it, but we're able to witness these new categorizations more than ever due to the existence of the internet

It was a topic before video essayists got their hands on it, but yes, it was made quite viral in a way similar to cursed images largely by youtube videos and more specifically essays trying to speak to the heart of its nature

how can you hate a media property and person this much??? what caustic potion of horrific outlooks and life experiences leads someone to think even 10% as outright unrelentingly biased against a children's show about love and goodness???

she framed an answer in an interview about the show as Rebecca Sugar "admitting" to something, like she was interrogated for a crime.

how much hate do you need in your heart to project it on to a show like this so hard?

HELLO various people whomst post upon the #hdg tag!

there has been quite a lot of deactivating/other people leaving of late (possibly because of tumblr doing tumblr and just, nuking people without warning) and this has gotten me thinking that it would probably be a good idea to get some moots contact details on other platforms!

as part of this, i have decided to make a little discord server dedicated to #hdg tumblr because like 90% of the people i'm mutuals with are also mutuals with/talk to each other, and it seems to make more sense to stick everyone in a server rather than just have them in my dms. the one caveat to this is: i don't wanna just post the invite link publicly because my ass is Not good at moderating public servers, that shit be stressful when they get too big

so if you're interested in joining, shoot me a DM and we can be friends! this is not just limited to people i follow/am moots with (because i am stingy as fuck with follows for no good reason) but is rather open to like, literally anyone who i've interacted with in the past, with the only criteria being "do i remember your name/profile pic" (which is probably a yes if you've liked more than one of my posts or vice versa lmao)

In light of some recent things I've heard about affini headmates not feeling comfortable in the main HDG community discord server: I also want to say that systems affini headmates/alters are very welcome here! Any system that has a headffini is welcome to ask for an invite whether or not I've interacted with you before; I consider having an affini headmate to be evidence in and of itself that someone has interacted with the setting plenty. There are quite a few folks in the server now who have affini headmates (and plenty of florets too), and I'm keen on encouraging this as a space for people with headplanps.
