Cipher she/her I am like in my 20s please don't follow if you are a child. I just say shit.

Lol hi

I’m Cipher and I’m here now. I draw sometimes and post silly things whenever. I also yell about Warrior Cats sometimes so be prepared for that.

I like itemLabel a lot and mostly draw them, so that’s what the creature above is from. Please try to be respectful! Be niceys to one another and such

I’ll post my art under the #my art tag. Otherwise it’ll probably be a ton of reblogs and my other goofy posts will be tagged with #shitpost. Other peoples’ funny posts will be tagged #sillies. I plan to tag stuff as often and thoroughly as I can, but please tell me if you need me to add anything

My goofy Warrior cats au is under the #recollections au hashtag if you’re looking for it. Don’t expect constant updates though; I’m swamped to hell and back. But if you got questions on it, please ask!

Confused as to why I disdain a lot of the source material? Here, in this Google Doc is a great resource made by indigenous folks who analyzed Warriors and made note of the plethora of anti-indigenous values and messages within its arcs:

If you’ve got the time, totally go read this! It also includes a message to the authors of Warriors that, interestingly enough, has not been responded to by said authors. Go show it some love so that it gets more attention and so that others learn to not use indigenous stereotypes in their writing.

Also, just in case any of you ask, I don’t do commissions. I take way too long making stuff and then don’t draw for months at a time on end, so I think that’s for the best. Thanks, bye!

HELP NOUR AND HIS CHILDREN

Nour (Aka: noor508) is in a tough situation right now; They have been trying to raise funds any way he can to support his two children, one of which was born recently.

What makes this situation even harder for their family is that the fundraiser they had was closed by GFM. Thankfully, the organizer of the original campaign has allowed donations to be taken through Pay/Pal

I urge you all to donate and help out (reblogging) Nour and his kids, nobody should have to raise two children in such a horrible and dangerous situation

"red-pill" "snowflake" everything about v for vendetta...fascists really do love to steal and bastardize culture from the queer people they are trying to destroy

"snowflake" was popularized in Fight Club, a novel by a gay man. "red-pill" is from a movie created by two trans women and is a metaphor for estrogen and gender transitioning. those same women adapted V For Vendetta from the original comic (written by a polyamorous man who may or may not be queer but certainly has something going on); in both versions the titular protagonist "V" is implied to be transmasculine, and a survivor of torture and imprisonment for the crime of homosexuality.

because that's what they see in us, these bigots who are happy to consume and quote and corrupt queer-created media, as long as they can erase every beautiful root. they see criminals, commiting the crime of being queer. and they are doing their damnedest to bring back the laws that made it so.

I’m kind of obsessed with this painting and others by the same artist of Black girls. it is one of the few representations of Black women in “traditional art,” for lack of a better term that shows the subject as soft, delicate and vulnerable, which are qualities ascribed to us so rarely it’s notable when it happens. It’s painted by a Ukrainian woman. I don’t have time to unpick all the complexities there, but there’s enough fraughtness between Black women and Eastern Europeans that the source of this painting is equally as surprising to me as the tenderness of subject.

this is killing me. the textile details. the light. the harmony. it’s drowning me, i’m dying. i love it so very much.

I love to see us depicted as delicate and adored, even tho I myself am an old tomboy. Black women deserve.
