Your hobbies are here to help you decompress and have fun. They do not have to be disciplines you toil over for expertise, unless that is something you genuinely enjoy doing.

It’s okay to enjoy language-learning without ever becoming fluent, or even conversational. It’s okay to like playing guitar even if you only know a few clumsy songs. You can read books and never finish them, bowl without ever scoring even halfway to perfect. We’re here to explore and play, and we cannot do that if we’re chasing perfection in everything we do.

Got reminded of my beloved hamsters.... and now I miss them.... (it's been 12 years)

#i need to make a tribute drawing of them one day they were such fun little guys#it's funny how i've been always a huge animals fan and learned everything about them when i was little#yet i've only ever had those two hamsters when it comes to pets. i mean not counting the aquarium fish before that#(but that wasn't really like. my pet because my dad took care of them and stuff because i was like 4 years old#i'll always remember that one neon tetra that outlived at least two other generations of fish she was a real one i was so happy for her)#but ok not pondering this now just wanted to give a shoutout to my awesome hamsters today. i gave them such funny names#my old phone was full of pics and videos of them unfortunately they are 5 pixels wide but that's ok good to have them anyway#the funniest thing was when i let one hamster roam around my room and i was carefully following it around so that it wouldn't run off ofc#but then it suddenly got supersprint powers and dashed off and squeezed under the door of the huge wardrobe in the cloackroom#and i have that moment immortalized in video form and it includes my freaking out about it#it was scary in the moment but its hilarious to watch now (the hamster was saved right away and ended up unscathed so it was all good)#well all in all. hamsters will always be special little animals to me because of all that just wanted to say this. i'm a real hamsters fan#goosepost

the earth-shattering truth about the sparks different colors sweater (REAL not clickbait)

after talks with @where-did-the-groove-go about identifying the colors on the sweater i got out my own the very same kind of sweater to seriously count and i can inform you all it is not 15 as fanmael once claimed NOR is it 13 as russell claimed. it is 14!

in order, the colors are: dark pink, dark green, burgundy, yellow, indigo, pale yellow, light green, dark teal, red, light blue, dark orange, blue, gold and dark blue

#thank you for this extremely important update. we shall no longer live in error regarding the true nature of the 14 different colors sweater#sparks
