There are so many ways to make moodboards, bookcovers, and icons without plagiarizing! As artists, authors, and other creatives, we need to be especially careful not to use someone else’s work and pass it off as our own.

recently found out about openverse which i think aggregates a bunch of creative commons images from flickr, wikimedia, nasa etc… pretty handy

I’m shocked so many people don’t know about my go to – Morgue File.

It’s full of searchable, rights free images uploaded by photographers.

There’s a tumblr post floating around somewhere that says “We think that if we get better at writing, it will someday stop sounding like we wrote it” or something along those lines.

Does anyone happen to have a link handy? I want to reference it in an advice post.

UPDATE: Due to three faked letters in a row, Luigi's attorneys will now be announcing when a letter is fake and will keep track of which of Luigi's correspondence with supporters are real.

Fake letters: Luigi saying 'shut your bitchass up', Luigi saying Louisiana is ghetto, Luigi sending a love letter to a tiktok lady. The other letters, as far as we know are real and Luigi's team will update us on their official website to debunk any false claims.

While time has revealed Luigi does receive the letters, reads them all (as he so adamantly expressed) and writes back when he can; time has also revealed that people have now stooped to the level of forging 'responses'. I've expressed skepticism about this before and I hate to see it become reality.

The fact that somebody had the nerve (and the misplaced energy lol) to fake his handwriting by AI and try to mimic his idiolect is equal parts absurd and sad.

How revolutionary would it be...to just write to this man with all the trouble —and outright harassment he's had to put up with, in mind? to write to him for the sake of sending something good out into this world, words of encouragement and support to someone who needs it with no sense of entitlement to a response ?!

Imagine how freeing that would be...free of expectations, free of the illusion of closeness/familiarity with this man purely because much of his digital footprint has been scrutinized beyond reason. In what world is it acceptable for people to be overly confident in assuming his hygiene practices, sexuality (WhatsApp debacle), or beliefs ?

To reiterate: If you're writing to him solely for a response to feed your delusion then that's just self-destructive behavior at this point, and you might want to seek help. Don't rope him up in your issues.

Your beliefs die with you, doing nothing for the world on their own. Actions are what count. What will you do with your morals? That is what will live on when you are gone.

You know what surprises me around these parts? Not seeing more posts about audio erotica. As a user of the good Christian app Quinn, I’m genuinely surprised I don’t see posts about the audios or the voice actors. That seems like it should be right up the Tumblr alley

Delete all of your retail apps. Unsubscribe from all emails. Go to the actual site and leave site reviews telling them exactly what you're doing and why. Every company tracks NPS scores, consumer sentiment, to direct future plans. Email customer service. Daily.

Fill your carts and abandon them. But don't fill with crazy high ticket ones. Fill with what you would normally purchase. High ticket items they'll ignore as flukes/bots. People whose shopping data they already have, who fill and abandon, they'll pay more attention to.

Not everyone can boycott places like Walmart, I know, I grew up in a super rural area. Research brands they carry that are the lesser of all evils if nothing else and buy those. The big brands will lose market share. They HATE to lose market share. They'll scramble to figure out why and where it's going.
