Problem is though. Motorcycles look so fun.

So in the US they say there’s a 1% chance of getting in a motorcycle accident. That’s just per year though. If you stretch that over 20 years that gets up to like 18.3% which is a much higher gamble when you think about it. And motorcyclists make up 15% of fatal accidents while only representing 6% of vehicles.

He's riding the bow wave! The boat, moving forward, also pushes quite a bit of water forward. The dolphin is letting the boat push him with the water, to save on the effort of swimming. It's like birds that fly in a V formation to take advantage of the wings of the bird ahead of them.

That dolphin is having such a good day that I stop and watch him every time this comes around. Imagine how it must feel, basking in the rush of water, effortlessly carried forward.

Very cool, and very endearing but also a bad idea because it's going to be a hell of a trek back home where no doubt its significant other is going to give them a bollocking about missing dinner again

I know that realistically you can only fit so many movies into a list of approximately 100, but I cannot take that "How many of tumblr's favorite movies have you seen?" list that's been going around seriously because there are some truly egregious omissions.

Some of it is very clearly recency bias, which makes me wonder if the op truly wasn't on here in 2013 or so, but you're telling me you made a list of "tumblr's favorite movies" that doesn't include Pacific Rim or Mad Max: Fury Road? Because, like, I was there, Gandalf.

I'm a ridiculous human and genuinely couldn't sleep until I tried my hand at a better, more balanced list -- though of course, I have my own biases when it comes to what corners of this website I've lurked in over the years. For what it's worth, I did consult the last several Years In Review, while also drawing on the fact that I've been here for over a decade. But if there's anything that truly doesn't feel like it should have made the cut, blame my mutuals for putting it on my dash all the time.

I still roll my eyes at having either or both of the Ryder twins having N7 designations, even in AUs. It's meant to be a qualification for the absolute best of the best, not merely above average troopers, and certainly not for ones as young as the Ryder twins. Chrissake, the qualification training kills a couple every now and then, and candidates are only pulled from humanity's ELITE elite special forces

Hell, I'd wager that even after being augmented by SAM the twins likely wouldn't qualify. Maybe they could qualify to transfer into special forces but certainly not friggin' N7 graded

And another thing, the whole point about creating someone like Ryder was to create a deliberate contrast with Shepard. Ryder isn't supposed to be experienced, the last posting they had was a dogshit patrol/guard detail. The whole game was supposed to be about them becoming a hero, not one who starts as one, and making them a spec-ops trooper diminishes that
