I’m pretty sure that the reason the ice fractured into six slices is the same reason snowflakes are often six sided and it has to do with the shape of a molecule of water and I just think that’s so freaking cool.

How would it even stay lit though?

!!!!! it IS actually because of the structure of water molecules! Water molecules are fuckin weird, as are lots of other liquid substance molecules, because theyre shaped like fuckin HEXAGONS! hexagons are those weird, six-sided shapes that re very sturdy, but they dont tend to sit very well when stacked together. thats why, when you fill up a glass of water to its full capacity, it can go OVER the brim a little and not spill over. It’s also why water beads.

anyway, so since water is essentially made up of a gazillion little hexagons, it tends to gather into larger hexagons as it shapes together. this is not visible unless the water is in a solid form, aka ice. when the water is split, it tends to crack around the established hexagons. that bottle rocket exploded in the PERFECT place to show this phenomenon and its geeking me out.

ALSO! the bottle rocket stays lit because the fuse was definitely waterproof and made with magnesium and an oxidizer of some sort. this means that they will burn underwater because they dont need the oxygen from the air to stay lit. thats so fucking weird isnt it. im tipsy and its the 4th of july. sorry for the science haha

Picturing Joongdok arguing and Yoo Joonghyuk, being the secret romantic ML he is, grabs Kim Dokja to kiss him, but Kim Dokja's immediate reaction (after years of bullying) is to immediately knee him in the groin.

Joongdok AU where Lord Kim Dokja's demon transformation is unintentional and will cause him to go crazy the longer he's in that state, but it can be mitigated by the bodily fluids of [insert special name here]. Most of the people that were thrown at Kim Dokja were usually killed because none were brave enough to take the risks needed to help him. Giving him blood or spit or what have you came at the risk of being murdered in Kim Dokja's frenzy, and that was typically what happened. Kim Dokja's state doesn't stay long term, but the length of times he is transformed is getting longer and he knows he'll lose himself to it sooner rather than later. Only those most loyal to him have stuck around, desperate to find someone who can save the man who had once saved them.

Enter Yoo Joonghyuk, a brave warrior who comes in with the intention of killing Kim Dokja as he had been hired to do by an enemy to the man who wished to take his land and fortune. Yoo Joonghyuk needs the money to save his ailing sister, and he's brave enough to get close enough to Kim Dokja to kill him. But he has to wait for the man to transform first so he has a reasonable excuse - he isn't about to murder the man outright when his loyal companions were ready to kill him at a moment's notice. If he killed Kim Dokja in self-defense, it would be more understandable. He even made sure that such a thing is possible.

The man he meets is one who's at the end of his rope. Kim Dokja has come to accept that he will succumb to his curse and doesn't really care what happens to him any longer. He even suspects just based on how Yoo Joonghyuk acts around him that the man will kill him. He doesn't plan to say anything against it. He hopes Yoo Joonghyuk will kill him. He actually likes the guy quite a bit. In the meantime, he tries to get his own affairs in order. Yoo Joonghyuk learns of Kim Dokja's connections with his companions and the reason he has so many enemies. And when Kim Dokja finally transforms, he waits to die. But Yoo Joonghyuk surprises him by playing his role well, kissing Kim Dokja eventually bedding him in the process. Kim Dokja returns to his senses, shocked, but Yoo Joonghyuk has become committed. If it's Kim Dokja, he's sure he can still save his sister and this man. It's a risk he's willing to take.
