I feel like Keith underestimates his romantic capabilities a lot, in his mind he’s like “oh no I’m dating LOVERBOY Lance and I’m just an NPC from the desert” so like. He does extra and tries his hardest and ends up overcompensating and doing the most romantic shit ever. Getting him flowers at the the most random time. Writing cute notes for him and putting all over the house hidden. Doing his groceries for him and-
Okay I wrote all that drunk. Sober me kicking in for the rest:
-he always buys 10x more of lances fav foods than Lance needs or wants and makes sure his nutrient goals are hit. He’ll think “shit Lance needs validation and reassurance” at the most random times and he’ll go up to Lance and say “good job” and pat his shoulder and Lance would be SO confused.
-I do think Keith is an overthinker and he's used to feeling like a let down (Radiohead reference HA) bc adults in his life has always told him off or tried to discipline him for not doing enough or not trying hard. So he overthinks like "SHIT Im definitely being dry as hell rn Lance must be SO disappointed" and then he jumps him w like, a picnic at the beach and ten different food Lance likes and Lance will be like "Babe ily but ???". Bonus points if they recently did something romantic together and Keith STILL thinks he's gotta do more. Overachiever as hell.
-think he's a very acts of service guy and quality time. He's used to false words and promises so he reads into actions and puts a lot more weight into them. So bro will do lots of things like. Say he's at Lance's house while Lance is doing work. Bro will randomly dust his curtains and clean the vents. Lance will not even be aware of this.
