Just a reminder that this is a general illness kink blog (as opposed to, for example, a sneezing fetish blog) that features both respiratory and GI things. So far I haven't tagged any of the respiratory things as that's something people tend to be fine with, but if you need something tagged, don't hesitate to ask.

I tag every fandom post with a fandom tag (the "main tags" since I have my blog hidden from searches) so you can filter fandoms if you want to.

Because I've seen people talk about issues they have with their dashboards and the general Tumblr browsing experience, I thought why not make a post about the wonderful settings this site has to offer that save the day when you really want to be in charge of what you see.

First of all there are the dashboard preferences (account settings -> dashboard preferences). Disabling most things here is crucial to keeping unwanted posts off of your dashboard. This is what it looks like on the android app:

The first five are what you want to disable if you don't want Tumblr to suggest you posts based on your own activity or the activity of those you follow. Now your dash will be chronological and only have posts posted or reblogged by blogs you've chosen to follow.

Another setting some might find useful is likewise found under account settings (account settings -> media autoplay). Going to the media autoplay settings will give you three options to choose from: 1) never autoplay, 2) only on wifi, and 3) always autoplay. If you want to be able to choose for yourself whether or not you wish to watch a video or the view a gif, this is where you can change settings so that it's a decision you make for yourself.

I know I already said this but the time line of the Knick is terrible. Like. Where am I supposed to put insert my kink fiction in 🙄

I just love seeing how much Thack cares for Abby, the love that has persisted over time, the selflessness of it (he loves her, he wants what's the best for her even when he thinks she's right to have left him), how he doesn't judge her for anything and wants to be there for her and to support her.

also Thack catching the flu during an epidemic and still working himself ground and getting put on one of the beds in the ward as if he was just another patient

like idk I just really like the idea of Thack coming down with a stomach bug that keeps him miserable for like. two days. and Abby being there for him through that, offering him comfort and making sure he stays hydrated

during s2, after Thack kind of. moves himself into Abby's house (he just. does that. he's still got his own place, right? but he always goes to Abby's at that point), maybe some night, or very early morning, he wakes up feeling nauseous. maybe he tries to push it down or wait it out, but instead of slowly subsiding, the nausea only gets worse until he has no choice but to find something to vomit into.

maybe Abby wakes up to the sound and comes to find him and helps him get comfortable when the worst of it is over

I think Abby should get to enjoy it if Thack got sick. She deserves some kink fun.
