never getting over leon and hop's names in the french version btw. you don't realize how 2019 got crazy over getting north african representation (the first assumption possible because middle easterns writes it as "tareq" unlike north african who writes it as "tarek") in a video game. to me and my friends they were sooo algerian it's not even funny💔 even the meaning of the names got me insane. "tarek" means battler/fighter and. what's more is there to say? on the other side "nabil" means noble-born and honestly it's so so fitting considering the headcanon that the postwick bros are descendants of one of the two kings (headcanon stolen to a certain someone wink wink) and also the irony with him being closer to a knight than actual nobility, especially when we see the royalty symbolism of the rank of galar's champion (something something how some times the first born becomes king and the other a knight in royal families). and also something something about uk's culture being motivated by guilt but it's so visible how hop and leon's family are rooted in shame culture and clearly passed it down on hop especially (algerian family behavior. they care far more about the family's honor and reputation than the actual family) with the whole being afraid of dragging leon's name in the mud thing. the parental bond between siblings is something so present in north africans family too, i know so many algerians/moroccans/tunisians who basically raised their younger siblings (me included). i personally see them more as amazigh-algerians than arab-algerians because in my heart they're kabyle/chaoui but it doesn't even really matter.

The loser is so hungover it's becoming sad.

My mom had this wonderful recipe for Lum Berry & Pecha Berry Honey Tea which was borderline a miracle drug for curing everything from hangovers to the flu.

Just cut a few Pecha and Lum berries (depends on how much water you use, but for an average size kettle I'd say one of each iirc) into quarters, steep in boiling water, then after around 15 minutes, strain, and let cool to a warm temperature before adding honey to taste (don't serve with Honey to babies, human or pokemon)

The recipe is sort of off the top of my head, so that first step is half guessing from memories of doing the procedure with my mom growing up. That said, this shit WORKS, like I have chronic fatigue and pain, which flares from time to time, and I will always brew myself some (with precut and dried berries) and it makes me feel alot better alot faster, even carry a thermos of this stuff around when i can.

too many pokemon that end up here are from competitive trainers that breed pokemon or hatch pokemon only to find that they have bad stats and instantly release them. Like those are DOMESTICATED POKEMON THEY WILL GET HURT OUT IN THE WILD???? i opened up the PokeRescue to rehabilitate pokemon, but too many pokemon are domestic and got released even though theyre barely able to survive in the wild.
