SoulxMaka Week

@soulxmakaweek / soulxmakaweek.tumblr.com

We're so back for 2025! |Masterlist| we track the tag #soulxmakaweek

Thank you to everyone who submitted theme ideas! Your contributions have helped us finalize the themes for SoulxMaka Week 2023! This year, we opted to use a random generator instead of traditional voting.

Here’s the lineup:

Sunday, June 1st - Saints Monday, June 2nd - Trouble Tuesday, June 3rd - Charm Wednesday, June 4th - Rescue Thursday, June 5th - Bite Friday, June 6th - Sunder Saturday, June 7th - free day

As in previous years, you are encouraged to create anything for SoulxMaka Week, provided it aligns with the given themes. While we request that you adhere to each day's theme, you are free to share creations for earlier days as well.

You can express your creativity through various forms of art, such as fanmixes, illustrations, GIFs or photo collections, interpretive crafts (like knitting or jewelry), AMVs, fanfiction, or any other ideas that inspire you. As long as your work relates to the SoulxMaka Week themes and focuses on SoMa, it is welcome! However, we kindly ask that you refrain from stealing or reposting others' work. Instead, please reblog content that isn’t yours instead of reposting, as it’s important to honor the efforts of fellow creators.

If you decide to participate, please tag your posts with “SoulxMaka,” “SoMaWeek2025,” “SoulxMakaweek,” or mention us (@soulxmakaweek) so we can easily find and reblog your creations on this blog!

That’s all for now! In the meantime, please help us spread the word by reblogging and sharing this post with your friends. Enjoy preparing for the event!

With love, the mods

Chibiverb Sign-ups Reminder!

Heya heya, hello! Here's a friendly reminder that Chibiverb sign-ups will be closing on Friday, June 14th at 11:59pm EST.

You still have plenty of time to sign up (or start your first check-in if you're going to be an artist!), so if you've been thinking about joining in, go for it! We'd love to see what ideas or creative energy you'll bring to this year's event!

As always, more information on Chibiverb can be found on our Rules and About pages, and don't be afraid to ask a mod if you have any questions or need help with signing up.

Prompt: day 2, love language @soulxmakaweek

Summary: Maka makes Soul take a personality test! Plotless. Pointless. We’re here for the vibes. (yeah im a few days behind lol sorry)

------------------------------------------------------------------

“—oul?”

“Soul!”

Soul jumped straight out of a dead sleep with a gasp.

“Soul,” There was a whisper from his bedroom door, “Soul, are you awake?”

“Am I—oh my god,” He groaned before propping himself up on an elbow. “What?” He hissed to the figure across the room.

“Are you mad at me?”

“Mad at—” His eyebrows furrowed, and he squinted at his alarm clock, “—Maka, it’s fucking two in the morning.”

leavin' here with you, what a view

Shaking things up a bit with today's entry for SoMa Week, since it hits both today's theme (Night Out) and Saturday's theme (Close Call)! I had a LOT of fun writing this one 👀🔥

Prompt: Night Out/Close Call

Rating: E

Summary:

'“Well, I’m the valedictorian," Maka quips back at him. "My time is valuable. You can put in a request though, if you like, and I’ll see if I can squeeze you in.”

He snakes an arm around her waist.

“Would the valedictorian consider clearing her schedule for the rest of the night? Someone who loves her very much would like to dance with her.”

You’re asking me to dance. In public?”

“I know," Soul heightens the pitch of his voice dramatically, raising a hand to his chest in feigned disbelief. "Better not waste this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."'
