i'm noticing that some of apple's defenders are so oddly insistent that "milton could've been telling the truth," it almost seems like they subconsciously see milton as a more reliable source compared to giles or something of that nature. like yes, he COULD'VE been telling the truth, but from the start it was clear he wasn't. the show and books made it clear that you should question him, just as raven did from the start, why are you so insistent that he could've been right?

@starlust500 and I were talking, and she pointed out that many of the people who are like Apple defenders are basically trying to defend themselves and their beliefs. They truly are like that because they want to defend their entitlement and like the things that they've done.

why do "we" (some of us) as a fandom deem raven as selfish because of her "risking the lives of people", which she never did, because she KNEW from the start milton was lying and got PROOF when all of his evidence was lies and set ups to manipulate her into signing. raven's character IS complex and no one denies it, but raven refusing to sign and wanting to choose what she wants to do with her life is not selfish and isn't a flaw she has, especially when all she's done is worry about others along with it.
also the story isn't black and white but the overall situation between apple and raven is crystal clear. there's complexity in both of them but the point of the show is that what apple has learned and stands with is WRONG, it's something she needs to unlearn, and raven is in the right for going against what apple stands for. there can be simple explanations even in a complex story but y'all don't wanna accept that

the eah fandom has such a big divide on hating apple or loving her. why don't some of us hold hands and like her character while acknowledging that she IS wrong in the story? her character arc is meant to be about realizing that what she's been taught and brought up in is WRONG, and that agreeing with it, preaching it without question despite the system she's in causing suffering to some, is wrong. and it's FINE to be mad at her for that, i feel like that's kind of what the show WANTS sometimes since the show literally says "apple wrong raven right" in the most clear way it could, while also showing apple's internal conflict about this. if you're mad at her that's perfectly fine because i get why you're mad, apple IS WRONG. even though the show presents complexity in both her and raven, the show's message is still very clear and always has been
to add onto this i think we as a fandom would benefit greatly from doing this while we all eat apple sauce sitting in a field of daisies for a nice little picnic and then go to the beach afterwards!!!!
