Pinned Post

Hi there! I'm Stitch. This is sort of the...hq for my brainrot archive? I suppose. I post a lot about Hermitcraft and the Life Series with Empires slowly sprinkling its way in, but I also just post random nonsense sometimes. Pigs? ✅ Portal? ✅Nancy Drew? ✅ Anything my gay little heart desires. I don't really tag things that aren't oc but that might change who knows. Also I DO ship things, so. Not your cup of tea, probably should click away. My writing tag contains both links to my AO3 posts and also snippets that I don't put on AO3. This Pinned Post is probably going to be subject to edits occasionally - keep an eye out for new AUs. Also - I'm physically disabled and I sometimes post about it or reblog posts about disability - I keep them tagged as resources [see below] so that artists and writers and other people can all reference them and learn. If you have any questions about disability stuff, please don't hesitate to send me an ask! I love talking about it!

Also - I happen to be really into Redstone. So much so that I've made a number of resources for beginners/people who are just look for the basics for fics and art. They can be found under Stitch's Redstone Help.

I have two ongoing fanfics - Rift AU [Mumscarian] and The HC X Portal AU [Mumscarian] I share with @made-nondescript

I also have a number of AUs - Clicking these links will either take you to their individual masterposts or the tag on my blog

I also have an AU that I share with the delightful @atherix called [very originally] the Ghost Hunting AU and I also occasionally post about my original project found here.

my friend's shiba inu is extremely good at puzzle toys and deeply obsessed with them and today she's been consumed by madness in one room she doesn't want to leave and we finally figured out it's because i sucked up some loose kibble in the little handheld vacuum, thus creating an unsolvable puzzle toy

One of the funniest failures of US school system is the fact they are legally obligated to teach us all the states but they never actually show how big Alaska is like I have actually had teachers tell me that Texas is the biggest state. We have all just convinced ourselves that Alaska is that small shrunken down thing on most US maps and the people that know it's the largest state can almost never accurately describe how large it is.

For context here is a picture

It has a national park that’s bigger than maine. Or Switzerland. A park.

I lived in Alaska for two years and I will never get over the sheer overwhelming bigness of it.

Nights where the sky is clear you can see clusters of stars or the Northern Lights dancing. When the lights are rippling especially strong and fast you can hear a static crackle in the air. When the moon is out after it’s snowed, you don’t need flashlights to see. Everything glows and glimmers like polished quartz.

But when the sky is clouded over so you can’t see the stars, you can kind of almost sense the mountains towering over you and helping to block out the light, these giant monoliths acting like this void darker than your soul. I’ve never experience night like Alaska night.

Everything is big, the mountains, the sky, the valleys.

And the dark.

what the fuck

I was feeling agitated and artblocked yesterday so I decided to give my brain a rest by watching TV and then the next thing I knew these were in front of me

What in the world is happening on twitter

zack scott’s been doing this bit since mario wonder came out where he commissions artists to recreate their daisy artworks of her as her elephant form, but for some reason he’s gained insane traction over it for the past like week??? so artists have been putting fucking. bait traps out for him to commission them

these are two of my personal favorites bc there’s absolutely no attempt to hide it. they are putting daisies under a shoebox propped up on sticks for this man. and it’s working

“Belka” and “Strelka”, Soviet space dogs after landing. USSR, 1960. [1800x1295] Check this blog!

The amount of people in the notes to this post (and any other space dogs related content) being surprised that Belka and Strelka or some other “dogmonaut” survived starts to concern me. Surely you guys know that most of the space dogs survived their journeys and went on with their doggy lives? Certainly you understand that getting the living creatures into the space and safely bringing them back was the point in these experiments? Like, you all get that these dogs were sent into space as part of the programme aimed at safely getting a human cosmonaut there, and Soviets weren’t just launching puppies to their deaths for the fun of it? You don’t just baselessly extrapolate Laika’s fate on all of them, right? Right?

Anyway, in case you get worried or upset looking at the space dogs’ photos, please know that most of the space dogs survived their journeys and went on with their doggy lives. They were sent into space as part of the programme aimed at safely getting a human cosmonaut there. Getting the living creatures into the space and safely bringing them back was the point in these experiments. Belka and Strelka definitely survived their flight, Strelka had puppies (one was gifted to JFK), and they both lived well into the old age.

i forget her actual name(it translates to little star) but the last of the dog cosmonauts before gagarins flight ended up being adopted by gagarin and his wife and he often spoke about being grateful for her contribution

That would be Zvozdochka. She was also named by Yuri Gagarin. Here’s a picture of her with her friends sourced from a Russia Beyond article that manages to misidentify all 4 dogs (correct labels added to bottom of photo added by me)

yesss thank you

1. Ah Fai was a chief animator for McDull’s animated features. He’s super cool. Ultimate senpai.

2. Previous post on breakdowns right here

Some thoughts on acceleration and force

I presented this in the order of how I slowly understood the trick of delivering force - first an abstract concept of impact taught by Ah Fai, then a more complicated discovery on the acceleration pattern, last back to a more abstract concept of breakdowns

Like I’ve previously stressed, 2D animation is everything but one single approach. There’s no one rule that rules them all, but interchangeable ideas with math, or physics, or music, etc. There’s no “perfect” animation either, but what is perceived as organic and dynamic. E.g., using the Fibonacci numbers to animate didn’t bring me a perfect animation! On the other hand, a tiny change in the pattern could already make the feeling of force so much more powerful.

Not so much of a tutorial than a personal experience. I hope you find this interesting hahaha

when i say my gender changes to the tune of the bit i mean a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do and if he can’t then god forbid women do anything

jokerkind specibus ass

But you still recognized that as a Homestuck reference.

What were YOU doing at the devil's sacrament?

i googled the words & got results from the homestuck wiki. that’s not attending the devil’s sacrament that’s investigating suspicious noises in the woods by lanternlight

Documenting what is quite possibly the best exchange I have ever seen on this website.

He will not be exiled again

I enjoy all parts of this post. The trans leash, the confusion, the heartfelt display of affection we give to our pets. The biography, the history lesson, and the morality of keeping cats indoors are all bonuses.

Hey thats me again.

Anyway guess whos 18 now!!!
