Hey crazy request but could you edit it so that Watson is bald and lower the sunlight reflection enough that it looks like his immense baldness is burning Holmes' bed. Feel free to ignore this I had to ask tho in case you had the seperate layers of the (BEAUTIFUL) artwork and were able to do this

lmao I do not have his hair on a separate layer but please consider this formal permission to go nuts with photoshop because I would also like to see this

BEHOLD! Dr. Watson and his Luminous Head

LMAO????

On the discussion of book accurate depictions of Sherlock Holmes, one thing I really want is accurate Mycroft. In the books Sherlock is very… autistically coded. At least to me, an autistic person. And Sherlock basically states that Mycroft has more β€œsevere” autism. Sherlock says his brother is more brilliant than he is but absolutely cannot function in society and hates social interaction so much he founded a society for the purpose of minimizing it as much as possible. In addition it’s implied he becomes overstimulated so easily he has to curate his environment to be devoid of disturbance and noise.

Give me the autistic brothers but one has it much much worse

Enough of this Mycroft as the more sociable of the two who is a powerful politician. This man would have a meltdown if he had to be that social!!!

Mycroft goes one (1) place and then goes home, at the same time every day, and does not talk to anyone if he can avoid it, and is really good with facts and figures. Given the state of mental health research in the late 1800s, Mycroft is possibly the most autistic a character could be. And he's HAPPY - do you know how rare that is in fiction about autistic people? Sherlock is super clear about this: Mycroft does his Mycroft things, and has no desire to do any other things, and everyone is super grateful for him being himself and sorting out all their facts for them.

Obviously we only meet him in the stories when he's been forced to Get Up And Go Do Something because of circumstances (that's how adventure stories work, after all) but the majority of the time, Mycroft is having a great time looking out the window and not talking to anyone. Good for him, I say

Hadn't thought about it the Autistic Brothers theme, but it tracks. In any case, only the 1980s Jeremy Brett Holmes series, with Charles Gray as Mycroft, was reasonably accurate. In contrast, Enola Holmes did Mycroft dirty.

I procrastinated on seeing the Robert Downie Jr movies until recently and I was delighted that they did right by Mycroft.

Yess I've always wanted to do something for HOUN..... That's it

Yeah the dog has no eyes pretend it is a very clever design choice that has deep simbolism or something (I actually forgot it and am lazy,,)

More colours and the sketch after the cut bcs I'm indecisive

This is SO COOL and I would love to have a copy of the book on my shelf with this cover <3 That spooky yellow smog!

Technically if you want the title to be the Arthur Conan Doyle novel it's hound (singular) of the Baskervilles (plural).

By popular request ;D Holmes being neurodivergent was something I thought about a lot while writing the game (channelling my own experiences a lot of the time!) and I know that our director discussed it with the actors, too. This is definitely not all the scenes or even the most prominent examples, but they're the ones that felt non-spoilery!

This is from my Sherlock Holmes point and click game The Beekeeper's Picnic which releases March 26th 2025!

One thing that so many people get wrong about Holmes is saying that he’s anti-social and bad with people. He’s awkward, of course, in a very classically autistic way, but when it comes down to it, he’s actually pretty good with people a lot of the time. How do we know this? He has a shocking number of acquaintances who are fiercely loyal to him.

There’s Watson, obviously, but then there are the Baker Street Irregulars, who are clearly in it for more than the pay he gives them - they always seem delighted to help him. Across various stories, Watson runs into a number of people who do whatever he wants as soon as he so much as mentions Holmes’ name. Many of their cases could only be solved because Holmes has a network of convenient people who will do basically anything for him. We don’t know what Holmes did to earn such loyalty, but we can guess - he helped them. He was kind to them. We know that he is often much kinder to the outcasts and downtrodden of society than anyone expects him to be, because we see it in his behavior.

I think that this really ties in so neatly with Holmes being both autistic and queer (however you choose to read his queerness). He doesn’t care about the rules of β€œpolite” society, so he often insults people who consider themselves his superiors. But he is always kind to those who aren’t used to receiving kindness from the world, because he knows what that feels like. That’s why the Irregulars love working for himοΏΌ - he makes them feel important! Honorable! Invaluable to his heroic work! He treats them with respect that no one else in the world gives them, and it’s not just because he’s trying to get something out of them. He actually respects them.

And above all, we know that he isn’t antisocial or bad with people, because Watson loves him so much. Watson, who is by all means a much more well-adjusted member of society, is more loyal to this weird little man than he is to his own country, which he literally got shot fighting for. Because Holmes has earned his loveοΏΌ and loyalty. Because he’s a good person. And even if he’s bad at the official rules of polite society, he’s good at being kind. And that’s what really matters.

Exactly!

Holmes has a great deal of respect for humans', I don't know what to call it, humaness? The weaknesses, the frailties, the fears, the mistakes made. Not to mention a good deal of compassion for it too.

And hope. Hope for better for humans, hope for the future.

Introducing Holmes Β The revolutionary sleep aid that is simply Elementary!

This individual is a paid actor. Warning: wakeups will be abrupt, annoying, and unpleasant. May cause crime solving, bee keeping, and a hatred of the violin.

THIS IS THE BEST!!

love that THIS might me the thing that gets me to watch this show.

I made this a little while ago and held on posting it on the understanding that I'd nebulously "make it better" at a later date, but honestly I don't think that's going to happen, so enjoy.

Every fandom needs a video to Let's Get this Over With by They Might be Giants.

I keep seeing this teapot in a second hand shop for going on nine months now it infuriates me because it's like...

Oh wow look at how cute that is, it's like a little teapot Watson! A Teapotsen, if you will! He's so handsome! What a soulful expression! Look at this little pink bow tie and dapper shirt!

And then you look at the rest of him and it's like...

*shudder*

WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE’S BEAUTIFUL

Waaah no now I feel so guilty

I'm sorry Teapotsen you're beautiful just the way you are even if your strange noodle arms and mysterious dessert (?) disquiet me.

Poor guy i can see the pain in his eyes.

I love the idea of a Teapotson, but he's dressed in upper-class formal attire. He is also holding up a dish as if to serve it to equally upper-class men.

Ladies and gentlemen, you are either looking at a butler or valet. Worry not: It is not our good doctor who is being put through such a horrid ordeal. ;)

He's definitely *designed* to be a waiter, but look at that face. That's a waiter with an inner Watson just fighting to get out.

When Holmes and Watson go to a concert, this is what's happening in Watson's mind the whole time.
