SHARPEN YOUR TEETH

@teeth-like-knives

Werewolves, come lend me your heart, Mine was broken from the start 💠30's💠Trans Woman💠

Liberals are already telling everyone all the things they can't have in the future, which I'm sure will generate winning levels of enthusiasm

"We are not getting anything that would slow the rising tide of fascism by improving people's lives" I'm sure people can't wait to run out and vote for that

"If we're lucky, we are going to get an IRS"

ill be real i do look kinda hot with a two-day stubble. if we were like 40 years into a proper gender abolition movement i would probably wear it, unfortunately i have to constantly interact with cis people (and like 70% of queer spaces lets be real), and wearing a beard while trying to be respected as a woman and get she/her'd is just kneecapping myself.

if you can't tell i wrote this with the knowledge that if i just said "i wish i could be a girl and have a beard" i would get a dozen "you can! just do it!" and like. im sorry but im 5'11' and shaped like a dorito and my voice is a natural baritone unless im putting effort into it. if i actually want people to see me as a woman (and i do), i am NOT working with a lot of GNC wiggle room here.

in general i'm just constantly walking the line and questioning myself in regards to "do i like looking fem or am i doing this so people will respect my gender" and i think it varies from moment to moment

she looks much healthier now transition saved her

I'm a huge fan of ggx2 because well it's easy to run and always 3 dollars but I can't stress enough how much strive saved Bridget and testament. Their designs are both so great. The two of them were so skinny and sad looking. Now we have transgender thighs. Hell yeah

Anonymous asked:

I’m sorry if this comes off in bad faith but is tranny a transfem specific slur? I thought it was used against all trans people

1) go to a porn site and put "tranny" in the search bar, all results are trans women. 2) the term is overwhelmingly used towards trans women. is it used towards transmascs? I mean probably but every one gets called the n word and the f word on call of duty. 3) the argument of whether transmascs can reclaim it doesn't interest me. Slur discourse doesn't interest me. There are situations where the words use makes sense, be it for a joke, or discourse or whatever. If someone is using it and it's use doesn't make sense you're gonna side eye em even if they can reclaim it. And the reverse is true, if the joke is funny enough and their intent has no bigotry behind it, you'd forgive them for its use for a laugh.

I feel like tariffing the "entire world" is literally just functionally sanctioning yourself

Evergreen

Yes how dare we compare ourselves to another country with a similar political situation?

The USA is the one sanctioning the DPRK. The idea that the DPRK chose to close itself off¹ is 1) patently false and 2) only peddled around by absolute fucking gormless cheerleaders for what is actually an act of genocide at the hands of the USA. We know this is false because the DPRK literally was happy to send architects to African nations as auxilleries for achitectual projects in exchange for money before the UN put a stop to that. After that, it was people going to Poland for work before UN made Poland stop that, too.

Just like with Cuba, the USA is punishing a sovereign country for managing to beat an invasion from the USA by leveraging its security council seat on the UN and the control of global capitalist apparatuses of trade. You are a credulous racist and an incurious repeater of imperialist propaganda, but I could have just said that you're a yank and it'd have meant the same thing.

¹ the truth is, of course, the DPRK is being made to slowly starve to death by the USA via the USA's international sanctions against the DPRK.

"ohh 00s diet culture isn't back because of ozempic, you're overreacting"

idk i keep seeing previously size-inclusive brands remove plus-sized versions of their clothes from their catalogues entirely, even lines specifically aimed at bigger sizes are cutting their size range down and chopping the bigger ones. i keep seeing mean skinny tiktokers get famous because they said something rude about fat people. when i ask my doctor about weight loss (which my country's gender treatment clinic requires before i can access even preliminary talks about hrt), i'm immediately offered drugs about it - drugs which, according to the doctor, we don't know the long-term effects of. but surely! surely it can't be worse than being fat!

like why are people acting surprised? we've made being extremely wealthy the aspirational aesthetic to strive for, made 'being skinny and having a lot of time and money to stay beautiful' a not only viable but lucrative carreer for people, and then released a drug that is wildly expensive and will make people thin.

of course people are gonna make being thin the ultimate status symbol again - it more than ever before signals wealth and leisure-time.

like, do you think it's a coincidence that people are back to constantly spouting 'nothing tastes as good as skinny feels' again? and pretending being fat is a matter of lacking self-control around cake or whatever? as if people haven't spent decades trying to get these fucks to understand that actually healthy produce and the time to maintain your body are extreme luxuries in our society?

anyway my broke fat ass can't find pants i like and can afford because the size-inclusive lines i'd have shopped at previously have axed anything over a size xl

and like. i'm not even that fat. what the fuck do people bigger than me do. it's really heinous right now for fat peeps.

Some really good points from the tags:

  • skinny was never 'out'. absolutely correct. as long as we live in a society where being skinny can be used to signify status, it'll be extremely fashionable to be skinny. however, there have been fashion waves of being 'thicc', getting bbls, etc - manufactured 'perfect' hourglass type figures. i'm not saying those things have made the world any easier for fat people, but while skinny has never been out, it was briefly also in to have other bodytypes.
  • it seems to be more the big push of ultra conservative culture than ozempic. imo it's just both. like, notice how all this weird-ass body policing concerns women. demanding women look a certain way is the most conservative-ass shit in the world. i could write thousands of words about how conservative sensibilities have infiltrated mainstream culture through social media (esp tiktok) trends in recent years, but i'll save that for another time. my point is, i think conservative culture and the availability (and status by way of the price tag) of ozempic have cooperated to create an especially hellish time
  • isn't ozempic for diabetics? it sure is! it's diabetes medication! for people who need it to live! but you know. it makes you not feel hunger, so of course people were gonna use it to starve themselves to death get that sommer bod or whatever the fuck

As a plus size diabetic person, on a med similar to Ozempic (I’m on Trulicity), this shit has gotten insane.

I need my meds to live a healthy life. It is a weekly injection. It keeps my body functioning the way it’s supposed to.

But I shit you not, the popularity of GLP-1s (Ozempic, Trulicity, Mounjaro) for weight-loss assistance has made getting the correct dose of my medication difficult. I had to step back down a level for close to a year because of shortages. Meanwhile, I was and continue to get, an average of one commercial for GLP-1s for weight-loss per commercial break when watching television, and an average of one ad per youtube video for them.

These aren’t ads for them as diabetes medication.

These are ads for them as weight loss drugs.

And if that doesn’t indicate that the huge push to be skinny is back, I dunno what does! These medications are being advertised for a side effect rather than their actual life saving purposes! To the detriment of people who need them for their originally intended purpose!

How the hell am I supposed to respond to the fact that twice now a family member has suggested that I should attempt to run for public office?

not gonna lie you'd have my vote if I was usamerican anyway tho given the average liberals absolute disdain for third party candidates I doubt your chances would be high

If I got elected I'd end up attaching a rider to every single bill that reallocates 50% of Police and US military budgets to government subsidized HRT and surgeries for all trans people. And the rest would go to my socialistification beam project.

"came back wrong" what about Came Back Afraid. You used to be brave. Too brave maybe, defying the odds at every turn, a fighter, cocky, playing with fire, first to throw yourself at the enemy. Until one day it all caught up to you. You came back, somehow, but now you know all too intimately how it feels to lose, to die, to be destroyed. Now you flinch and freeze and cower at the slightest provocation. Who even are you now if you can't be brave? The grave may have let you go, but the mortal fear still grips you tighter than ever.
