I think if they had the fix in for all future elections Elon Musk would not have tried to buy a judicial election in Wisconsin, which by the way he failed to do. I'm certain they will try to have one party rule forever, I'm just somewhat optimistic about our ability to thwart them.

I think it's the a cappella doo wop thing! For me the earworm is Uptown Girl, if I even think about that song it gets stuck in my head. If I listen to it it stays for weeks. Tell Her About It is pretty earwormy too. I think it's just the style of music he was doing on that album.

This is the take of a hater and a bitch who is criticizing people for trying to educate others, so take it with several grains of salt. HOWEVER, “for those of you too young to remember Strom Thurmond…” is a completely ridiculous thing to say. First, anyone under 45 is functionally “too young” to really experience Strom Thurmond, who died in 2003. More importantly, Strom Thurmond’s no-longer-record filibuster and his party switch are extremely important historical events that have a direct line to today. It is extremely basic and foundational knowledge. If you don’t know who Strom Thurmond is, it’s not because you are young it’s because you need to put down your phone and pick up a fucking book because you have let yourself be stupid in a way that is annoying and possibly is ruining the world.
