anyway major powerless and reckless spoilers ahead!
i still think paedyn will say “yes” on purpose or by accident. one of the lines lauren released on her instagram is about how kai and paedyn tell each other that they still love each other but they can’t, meaning the wedding preparations might have started and they’re seeing each other in secret. i suddenly started getting this vivid image of kai knocking kitt unconscious and replacing him as the groom for the wedding 😂😭 though I doubt that will happen. by the end of the book, i think kitt will come to realize how he isn’t the one for paedyn and kai needs to be the one marrying her. how that all happens, though, I’ve got no clue
also one of the editions of fearless comes with a fanart of kai and paedyn on a boat, I believe. so since they experienced the forest and the mountains in the first book, ran away to the desert and the graveyards last time, maybe they’ll run away from the palace and sail across the ocean (depicted on the map) this time. i hope Lauren makes it sound different than their experiences in reckless though
anyway my friend is reading powerless, she loves Kitt and hates kai but she thinks kai is better for paedyn. im wondering if her opinions will change once she reads the end of reckless, stay tuned to find out (though she’s had powerless for a week and has only read like a hundred pages into it)
