a lot of y’all saying Black Lives Matter for one situation just doesn’t sit right with me, it goes beyond police brutality!!!

it’s Black women dying at a higher rate during childbirth. it’s Black people being exposed to COVID-19 at a higher rate. it's about Black people like Henrietta Lacks being taken advantage of in thee medical field, but are still being denied healthcare. it's Black people being denied job opportunities due to the name on their applications. it's Black people being denied into higher institutions despite having the same qualifications as their non-Black counterparts. it's Black people having their creations and ideas stolen without being given credit simply because a good percentage of society still believes in 2023, mind you, that Black people are not creative enough or smart enough or skilled enough. it's the decrease of federal funding for schools in predominantly Black neighborhoods due to gerrymandering and redlining. it's Black people being denied housing due to laws in NUMEROUS STATES that inform realtors to refrain from selling black people those homes. it's the kidnapping and murders of Black people that don't make it on the news. it's Black trans women having a life expectancy of 23 YEARS OLD. it's Black people, especially Black trans people, being incarcerated at disproportionately high rates. it's Black people with criminal records who can't find jobs to turn their lives around because they're stuck in one spot after being released from the incarceration system. it's every single Black life that has been lost to racially motivated killings, whether it be the police or by citizen.

It's about knowing that even though there is still a lot of work to do as a nation, electing someone who values the lives of people over the lives of bank accounts is a step in the right direction.

Black Lives Matter is not just about protesting against police brutality. this is deeper than that.

All Black Lives Matter. Not just the ones you specifically are a fan of. Not just in death, but in life as well.

BLACK LIVES MATTER.

24/7, 365. Not just during February.

BLACK. LIVES. MATTER.

What were you doing with your life when you were 19? Maybe you were in college, or you were working full time? Maybe you both studied and worked, or maybe you were an intern somewhere. Or maybe you were just figuring out what you wanted from life!

Mounir Alanqar @amany-sham10 is 19, but he isn't able to do any of these things. Instead, he is recovering from surgery, while suffering from hunger and frigid winter weather. He and his family have been stuck in Ghazzah for over a year, struggling with hunger, exposure, pain, trauma, and fear. Now, they are suffering from the cold of winter in a tent, and struggle to get the food and water they need to survive.

So far, Mounir and his family have only managed to raise €3,479 (just 10% of their goal) despite having been raising funds since August! Donations have slowed down recently, and sometimes Mounir and his family will go for days without a single donation! They can't afford for this to continue. They urgently need support to purchase the food, clothing, and blankets needed to survive this winter.

Mounir and his family deserve to live. I implore you, whatever you can do to support them, please do so! Share and donate, anything you can give helps!

Save the life of my husband and children from death 🥹💔🇵🇸

Hello friends, despite the difficult circumstances we are living in, from famine and the lack of food and drink and facing death at every moment, my husband and I were exposed to direct and close bombing by Israeli warplanes😭, and as a result, my husband and I were seriously injured. My husband entered surgery and spent several days in intensive care. As a result of the injury, he lost his left eye and 70 centimeters of intestine were removed.💔😭

His condition is critical and he is now staying in the hospital and needs treatment and healthy food that is not available 🥹💔

In addition, my tent was damaged by the missile bombing and became unlivable 🥹💔

So please, I need your support and help 😭 Try to help me with any donation to provide shelter for my children and treatment for my husband.

Please, my life and the lives of my children and husband are in danger 🥹💔💔

Any donation you make will help me provide a tent or at least provide medicine and food for my husband.

The war has finally ended, thank God, and we are preparing to return to northern Gaza in the coming days. During this critical period, I urgently need your support to raise $5,000 to leave the UNRWA shelter and build a small room in front of my destroyed home. 🙏🏻

I am Ibrahim Almughanni. I once dreamed of a peaceful future for my family, but those dreams were shattered by the horrors of war.

I am married to Soha Fouad,

and we have three children: Toleen, 9 years old; Wateen, 6; and Tayseer, 4.

My children from inside UNRWA shelters

"Toleen, Wateen, and Tayseer are currently in the UNRWA shelter. With your support, we are striving to bring them happiness despite the challenges. Please stand by us for the sake of these children."

The Day Our Lives Shattered

I remember the day vividly—explosions began in the distance, growing into a deafening roar. Smoke and fear engulfed us as we watched our neighbors flee in terror. We grabbed our children and ran, pushing through a sea of panic until we could run no more

The Day Our Lives Shattered

We once lived a simple and peaceful life, with my children learning and thriving. Now, we are left with nothing in a UNRWA shelter, lacking all basic necessities.

Your support and contribution can make a real difference and change our reality for the better. 🙏

🚨 We Need Your Kindness to Survive 🚨

Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.

The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.

We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.

Our Current Situation:

💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. 🍞 Basic Needs: Food and water are becoming harder to afford with rising prices and scarce resources. 📚 Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. 😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.

How You Can Help:

I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.

Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.

What This Means to Us:

Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.

Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.

With all our gratitude, Mosab Elderawi and Family ❤️

🌟 A Cry for Help: My Family’s Struggle to Survive in Gaza 🌟

Hello, my name is Areej Kassab. I’m a 27-year-old English teacher and writer from Gaza, and I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for support. My family and I are enduring unimaginable hardships as relentless bombings devastate our home and our dreams.

We are a family of 15—10 adults and 5 children. Every day is a battle for survival. Food is scarce, humanitarian aid is not reaching us, and my little nieces and nephews go to bed hungry. Among them is my sister, who is deaf, and another sister who has a newborn baby. They, too, are suffering in this crisis, and I’m doing everything I can to protect and provide for them.

💔 A Life in Ruins The war has robbed us of everything: safety, peace, and even the hope of a future here. My family’s needs are basic yet critical—food, clean water, diapers for the babies, gas for cooking, and other essentials to make it through each day.

With rising prices and limited access to necessities, we are struggling to provide even the most basic items. My sister’s home has been destroyed, and we are working together to ensure everyone has shelter, food, and warmth.

My Plea for Your Support ✨ I’m a writer, and I’ve been documenting the harsh realities faced by my community under siege. But words can only do so much. We need action, and we need help. Your kindness can save us.

🙏 How You Can Help

  • Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to securing the essentials we desperately need.
  • Share Our Story: If you can’t donate, please share this post to help us reach others who can.

Your support will help provide food for the children, clean water for my family, and basic supplies to help us survive this unimaginable crisis.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing in solidarity with us. Together, we can create a lifeline for my family—a chance to live, to dream, and to hope again.

With love and gratitude, Areej Kassab ❤️

I just got woken up, from a nightmare, by the train going by shaking my bed, to find that duolingo randomly sent me the first notification in over a year, please understand my state of mind right now

we lost the plot on “slur reclamation” the second people started boldly claiming once they personally reclaim one nobody else is allowed to have negative feelings about it. speaking as a self identified faggot i wouldn’t go around telling people faggot isn’t a slur just because i like to call myself one..and yet in 2024 we’re still seeing people raked over the coals for saying “call yourself whatever you want but i don’t want to be called queer” like where is the basic respect. childish behavior.

no matter how bad John Mulaney has been, he’ll always have this.

you can't read shakespeare's plays. begging everyone i meet ever to WATCH them please they're so much more understandable and fun and whimsical and the comedies are funnier and the tragedies are more heartbreaking when you can actually just. see everything. like you can't just READ it it's NOT A BOOK!!!!

Wanting to experience Shakespeare for fun? WATCH IT.

Wanting to study Shakespeare? WATCH THE PLAY FIRST AND THEN GO OVER IT IN A BOOK SO YOU CAN MAKE NOTES AND LOOK AT THE LINES AND STUFF BUT ALSO KEEP WATCHING IT WATCH DIFFERENT VERSIONS THESE PLAYS HAVE BEEN SHOWN AND SHOWN AND SHOWN IN SO MANY COOL AND INTERESTING WAYS ACROSS THE AGES AND THE MODERN INTERPRETATIONS ARE PART OF THE STUDY.

“Israel is committing genocide.” Yes. They are. But so is the US. The US is 100% complicit in this, and Israel would not have been able to do as much without the help of the US. I’m disgusted to be living in a country that is complicit in the literal MURDER of civilians. Men, women, children, elderly, families. All dead because of Israel AND the US. This needs to STOP.
