i've seen the sentiment that the buckley siblings "raised each other" going around. this annoys me because it implies that maddie and buck were doing an equal amount of labor and child care, which is simply not true. maddie raised buck. she was a nine year old looking after a literal infant. their relationship now is very sweet and lovely, but maddie never should have been put in that position.
