Thrumugnyr's Hideout

@thrumugnyr / thrumugnyr.tumblr.com

I mostly draw monsters, creatures and fanart (currently ACOTAR, D&D and Dragon Age). Occassionally there is queer content, slash, gore and violence, so be warned. This is my art blog. My side blog is: thrumbolt.tumblr.com Commissions CLOSED

I don't know if there's anyone still around who cares about my Curse of Strahd campaign updates, but Patataj and his companions had to rescue Rahadin (and all of Barovia) from some amber temple eldritch evil and it was really sweet!

Tamlin Creator Appreciation: thrumbolt

Another cornerstone of the Tamlin fandom is Thrum, found @thrumbolt and @thrumugnyr!

She's great at drawing angst and drama and horses but also so funny and so good at setting the mood in her art and also so funny. Great at making the fandom a better place and the best girlfriend in the whole world.

Somewhat biased appreciation aside, the Tamlin fandom would not be what it is today without Thrum! They are an incredible artist, managing to capture intense emotion and movement in a single drawing. They are also very active in the ACOTAR community on other platforms, encouraging people who might be nervous about sharing their love of Tamlin to do so. We love our Thrum!!

“I was now High Lord and could do what I wanted with trespassers threatening the peace of my lands. I claimed Lucien as my own—named him emissary, since he’d already made many friends across the courts and had always been good at talking to people, while I… can find it difficult. He’s been here ever since.” - ACOTAR, Chapter 18

Tamlin rescuing Lucien from his brothers. I thought about drawing this scene ever since I read it and wanting to make a gift for @yaralulu, who loves angsty stuff as much as I do, I finally took the time for it!

tamlin with antlers is real and canon. the only reason why we didnt see them in acotar is because it’s winter and 3 weeks prior he was running in circles trying to shake them off while andras struggled to help and lucien laughed his ass off

Didn't turn out as funny as the original post, but still: Have some antler shenanigans!

This might be weird to say, but I love how organic your poses look for characters? Like, they don't look stiff or unusual at all! I can perfectly imagine seeing someone stood in the way you draw them and it's so incredible to see <3

This is not weird at alll, thank you! I am especially proud of getting this ask because I don't use references for anything really (even though I SHOULD) and I always struggle to come up with interesting poses on my own. 🥲 So I am really happy if the stuff I come up with looks natural and not stiff!
