The Way the Marauders Hold You

James is the kind of person who loves walking hand in hand. Fingers intertwined, his grip firm and warm, like an anchor. He likes holding you, tracing lazy circles on the back of your hand with his thumb. And when you're distracted? He lifts your hand and presses a kiss against your knuckles—sometimes exaggeratedly gallant when he wants to see you smile, other times softer, his lips lingering against your skin without breaking eye contact. And there’s so much love, so much tenderness in his gaze that it’s impossible to think of anything else.

Sirius is the type to walk with his arm draped over your shoulders, keeping you as close as possible, his fingers idly playing with a strand of your hair. He whispers little teases in your ear just to see you roll your eyes or to steal a smile with a sharp-witted remark. But when you're not looking… he closes his eyes and fills his lungs with the scent of you, committing the feeling to memory. The very next second, you glance at him with a raised eyebrow, and he flashes a careless smile, leaning in until his lips are at your ear, whispering something that makes your cheeks burn.

Remus walks beside you with your arms intertwined, your fingers curved over his bicep, as if you were a couple straight out of one of the novels he’s read. He likes it—the closeness, the reassuring weight of your arm over his, the way you sometimes squeeze it when you get excited. But most of all, he loves when you rest your head on his shoulder, because it makes it even easier to lean down and press a kiss to your forehead. He loves seeing you smile, and it's almost impossible to resist—before he even realizes it, he’s already leaving soft kisses all over your face. And if you laugh and tell him to stop? He only smiles against your skin, because deep down, he knows he never really could.

if anyone needs me this week, I'll be digging with my grubby lil hands in this goldmine. you're so clever flipping this into a tag and I LOVE it.

so here are a few of the fics I'm proudest of (in no particular order) :

1. hit me where it hurts the most (sirius black) - I know i said 'in no particular order' but this one is prob my #1 favorite. I'm just really proud of how it came together, and i've been so grateful for the support it's received, not in terms of numbers, but connections. the ones that get it, get it. and I love that for us.

2. a christmas wish (george weasley) - i can't reread this one without crying. I feel like I captured the grief really authentically, and mixed it with the hallmark christmas vibes in a way that didn't cheapen it. george is such a sweetie pie, and getting to write him finding that carefree, childlike wonder again was so heartwarming.

3. 1000 tears (harry potter) - my shaylaaaa 😩 I adore angsty Harry, and getting to unpack some of his feelings (guilt, anger, resentment, etc) was really fulfilling. I'm also a sucker for a hurt/smut fic, and this one just hits the nail on the head. emotional & steamy?? sign me tf up

4. i hate it here (james potter) - this one was self-indulgent as hell, but idec. I absolutely love the dynamic between James and reader in this one, and the way I captured the depth of their growth and connection in only a few thousand words is something i'm proud of.

5. 1000 stitches (bill weasley) - honestly I just really like the descriptive language and pacing of this one, it feels almost like poetry to my ear. this felt like a turning point in my writing, like I was seeing growth in real time as I wrote and revised it, which is always rewarding.

6. a madness most discreet (george weasley) - ongoing. will likely be one of my all time faves (malfoy!reader I would die for you). the allusions to Shakespeare eat and I don't care if no one gets it but me.

7. flutterby baby (draco malfoy) - this fic is one of the reasons I write from the love interests pov so much (haters can choke idccc). there's something really magical about seeing yourself through the eyes of someone that adores you, and it isn't something we get in real life. I adore draco in this and the smut is one of my faves. bloody knuckles for the win.

i wanted to put this on my main, because i feel it’s rather relevant to my account! so, here we go, some fics of mine that i like!

now she has me under her skirt - while popular doesn’t always mean the best, i think this case does. it was my first ever fic to go past 1k, and in just a couple days as well! i quite enjoyed writing it, especially the theo and mattheo banter <3

love isn’t blind - it took a while for me to make this and the sequel, but it was honestly soooooo worth it because i think its a great story all in all. i loved using minnie as a mother figure for theo and being able to redeem sirius in some way (free my man from those government shackles 😔✊

love it when you stay - this one was short but also rather fun to write! i think i might write more drabbles like this in the future

gingerbread cookies - i think that older harry does not get enough appreciation and if someones gonna give it to him, its me. also, i really loved explaining the mechanics of quidditch! especially because it was rather fun to research as well!

just a call away, little loaf series - this one was extremely fun to write, especially the texting and whatnot in it! the whole series was fun to write too, and i really recommend reading it (it’s finished in the main plot, though i do take requests for it)

It's a little funny because I had to think a lot to be able to name my favorites, I always have the feeling that I should have tried harder. But I think they are these:

pathetic drunk (todd haynes) — I had a lot of fun writing this one, I just couldn't stop smiling, todd is the kind of underrated character, he deserves more recognition.

midnight reverie (sirius black) — It was simply the first time I dared to write something about sirius and I was a little nervous, but I was pleased with the result, to be able to write about the marauders. I simply love them.

gotcha (james potter) — This was completely indulgent, I simply love shy!reader and being able to write something like this with James was really satisfying. I just smiled and smiled.

gentle type (remus lupin) — smut has never been my strong point, but this one… I really enjoyed doing this one. I think it's my favorite in the world.
