Fundraising here is pretty much useless at this point, but I really don't have anyone to turn to or any kind of other financial help.

I'm a disabled trans lesbian with a disabled trans wife and an autistic household of three that I help support.

At time of writing I've got -$13 in my checking account and roughly $10,000 of debt I'm responsible for. I get $1200 a month and $750 of that to goes straight to housing & food. The rest is spent on debt & medical expenses & incidentals for my household of 3. My benefits hit the 4th Wednesday of every month & usually don't last until the 1st of the month, let alone for an entire month.

There's this interesting phenomenon where when you're a child, or some other vulnerable minority dependent on a job for shelter, you are actually under duress almost constantly. You can't say "I don't want to work today," you cannot say "I don't want to do the dishes, actually," you cannot choose not to participate. In a lot of cases, the punishment is explicit. Your parents might yell at you. Your boss might fire you. But in other cases, it's implicit. The mood will sour. You lose leeway. People get mad at you. And that creates a really shitty environment where you're constantly being coerced to do things!

And here's the kicker; you're not allowed to acknowledge that. You cannot acknowledge that you are being coerced, you cannot acknowledge that your free will is not being respected, because that's punished too. Your boss insists that you act excited. Your parents punish you for acting surly. You are forced to fake enthusiastic consent, constantly. It's a fucking nightmare. Your hand is being forced, you do not have the option to say "no," and if you ever, for a second, try to acknowledge that, everyone acts like you're the aggressor.

My wife called roleplay in the context of ttrpg "play acting" and now has a whole server of DND youngins trying to tear her dick off. Because "play acting" has "negative connotations". The playing pretend hobbyists really do not like to be reminded that they are fundamentally playing pretend with the pretense of math.

I love playing pretend. I love pretending to be Tragnar the Barbarian and his big axe (Lucille btw) and I love math. Tragnar kill and Tragnar happy.

Tragnar read Dune and only understand surface level themes, ecology and religion. Tragnar never understand Ulysses.
