Gura's retirement isn't really all that surprising. I get why people are shocked but like. She hasn't streamed consistently for years. She has unspecified chronic health problems. She has the extremely stressful position of being the face of her entire industry, with all derision, idolatry, and pressure that comes with. It's no surprise that she was vomiting just from the thought of everything. Last August she referred to herself as "partially retired." We've had every warning sign. I was preparing myself for her graduation announcement a year ago, honestly.

I think there's a possibility she'll come back, since she chose now of all times to revive her personal account. But I'm also prepared for her to just leave the public eye forever. It'd be understandable

I hope Gura is able to find peace without returning to her bad habits associated with her pl due to a lot of noise going on, like speculating what she will due next. If the pressure was as big a factor as what it sounded like, all the "I already followed her in her pastlife" posts or people spreading where to find her, might make it hard to go back to an environment where she feels like she has less expectations on her (either from her job or fans).

I wonder... Do you think the NamixZoro shippers from opla are going to join us in the ZoSan shipping when they realize bickering is Zoro and Sanji's game or do you think they are too commited to straight shipping ?

as someone who grew up in a homophobic environment that lead me to deal with internalized homophobia in regards to fandom and fanships, and use to be a vocal anti towards ZoSan, but has had a "Character Development Arc" and now ships ZoSan for Zoro and Sanji above any other re-occuring characters after that journey; I have deeply wondered about this too. Since I saw a majority of hetero people ship Nami and Zoro because they were the first male and female characters from the main roster to interact. My other question is how many will at least move over to ZoroxTashigi.

To be honest it would be so sad if they change ZoroxNami for ZoroxTashigi because she has been on a downgrade since her introduction, which was great but ever since then she has done nothing but take L's.

Opla could make her better but considering what they did to Nojiko I doubt it

ZoroxRobin is an even more basic ship but if they change straight ship for straight ship I think I could make sense although I think Zorobin is more of a straight man ship and ZoNa is more of a straight woman ship.

And ZoroxKiku and ZoroxHiyori are to far in the horizon.

I think the most interesting thing I heard regarding Tashigi is that got promoted to Captain during the timeskip. Which is kind of a shame she got left behind in the cool characters power scaling but also makes sense considering how many characters the strawhats meet and how much ground they cover. Too many characters too all get some cool arcs.
