there’s a moment between switching into warmer clothes from the clothes you already have on where you put on the new clothes and they’re actually colder because they don’t have your body heat yet & you wonder if you’re doing the right thing by putting on this cold object. but if you just push through? it becomes warm. #saturdaywisdom

if reala was as cruel, ruthless, and brutal as supplementary material claim them to be, the esrb ratings would increase.

from my understanding, if reala really wanted to fuck shit up for master wizeman that shit would be rated m for mature at the very least

i feel like it could be a really interesting premise for a fic. reala has become Horror Game Antagonist

i still think about how i had thought i would never live to be this age. and yet. i am still so young

If you are feeling good about yourself or situation and then your mood suddenly shifts leaving you feeling insecure, unsure, etc. try to remind yourself that nothing has truly changed but your perception. Your cute outfit did not suddenly become horrid. Your delicious meal did not tranform into a terrible one. Your peers perception of you has not radically transformed over a social misstep. Everything we experience is put through it through our mental filter, and that can convince us that everyone else sees us with the judgement we have for ourselves. Be kind to yourself.

Like a half hour after taking pain relief meds: oh actually it doesnt hurt anymore i probably didnt even need to take those

canonically reala is described as being ruthless and cruel (or something along those lines) but the fanon interpretation of their character being a more of a guy who's just stuck in a rock and a hard place is nicer to play around with and also reinforces the themes of njod a bit

i'm too tired to go in-depth on the stuff, but i will say: if you only play nid and njod, it is easy to get the impression that reala doesn't completely love wizeman either. and, if reala is as cruel, ruthless, and brutal as supplementary materials claim them to be, then why don't they do things so cruel, ruthless, and brutally? …the answer is probably the target esrb rating, but, still. (so, i guess it's not really "fanon", as it's canon, but… self-contradictory canon? telling-not-showing? informed characteristic? something along those lines)

and reala not being completely evil, completely loyal to wizeman, has much more interesting dynamics than just them being completely evil. because then you've got a reala who loves wizeman but is scared of him, a reala who cares about their sibling but can't show it for fear of punishment—and reala is additionally frustrated by how nights' departure causes reala to suffer more of wizeman's wrath… which also fits in with njod's themes of family quite well, as it's more like an abusive family relationship than a master-servant one.

also, if reala is supposed to be completely "evil", completely dedicated to wizeman, not caring about nights at all… then in the context of the idea that reala is supposed to represent reality… that's really bleak, actually. if reala is supposed to represent reality, then it would make more sense if reala had more to their personality than just Evil, since. reality isn't just bad things, y'know? or just bad things disguised as good things.

i will never risk saying this in an actual gaming server but I don't think constantly screaming out of anger when you're playing is good

if a game is making you so angry that you have to scream, dusturbing the whole house and distressing your teammates maybe close the game and go cool your head and i mean this in the nicest most literal way possible
